Gets very hot. Great for blow out styles.

The first time I used it I thought it was great. I have to straighten my hair first, so getting a curl to stay with a curling iron is almost impossible and this worked. Unfortunately, the second and third time, and even on my daughter’s very thin fine hair, I couldn’t get the same results. I also don’t like that it’s so squeaky and that it grips the hair, instead of letting it glide through. I bought 2 on super sale, returned one, & will likely return this one, too. Just not worth the savings.

This stuff is terrible, even my friend said she can’t get the curls to stay, and nether can I. I’ve used a million hair curlers even ones that are not brand and my curls last. This won’t even last 3 min

This is an easy to use curler that creates really pretty, tight curls. I generally don't use the lip, I j ust wrap my hair around it. Used it to do my own hair for a wedding.

I like the size of the curler and heating options but the black grip where you push bends easily. Be careful when curling your hair as it can break.

I purchased this at target almost a year ago. I believe I have either the 3/4" or 1" barrel. It's easy to use, with intuitive temperature control, a comfortable handle/clamp, and I love the style and longevity of the curls. With that in mind, this is an excellent curler for the price. However, I was surprised to discover this curling iron has no automatic shut-off. This has been a standard feature in all of my styling tools for the last decade and unfortunately, I find its absence to be too much of a hazard. I am very much in the habit of turning off and unplugging hair tools after every use, but there were a handful of times where I would leave for work in a rush and come home nine hours later to find it as hot as I left it. I would caution anyone purchasing this to consider if they can manage turning it off after every use *without fail*, or if they should upgrade to the slightly more expensive Hot Tools 24K collection that includes this feature. I have made this mistake too many times and will be mindful to only purchase styling tools with auto shut-off from now on.

I have had 4 of these because.they give me a lot of body in my straight, fine hair. HOWEVER, the clamp never lasts. You need to improve e that mechanism or pro use an extra replacement clamp right in the box!

So, for starters… I have pretty fine hair. I’m a mousse girlie, I like volume, I’m a fan of some curls. I’ve tried small barrels, bigger barrels, wands, the works. To be honest, this one was just okay for me. It’s nicely made and I love the matte finish on the handle. I only need the lowest heat setting but it heats up quickly and stays warm through the time it took to curl my hair. I tried the mousse as well, which was super thick and luxurious compared to any other similar products I’ve used. It smelled absolutely amazing and I only needed a tiny bit of the product for my hair. I thought the heat protectant was great which I definitely need. I was able to get a pretty good curl which I brushed out into nice casual waves. I think overall, this is probably better for thick hair girls. It worked nicely, just not my favorite. Thanks to the Stellar Testing Product Panel I was able to try out this curling iron. I use this iron for more of a blow out look. The barrel heats quickly and gets hot enough for my hair to hold it. I like this iron for an every day look. It gives my hair volume and curl depending on how I use it. For shorter hair I’d say it’s more of a volume tool vs. a curling tool but, if you have longer hair I’d imagine this could give you nice loose curls or even a more wavy look rather than tighter curls. Hot tools never disappoint! Love the temperature setting dial and the quality. I’ve had my other hot tool for many years and the durability is top notch. Love this particular one for a quick everyday blow out look.

I liked using the Hot Tools Pro 1 1/4 inch curling iron. I have medium length fine hair and I think the diameter was perfect. The adjustable heat option was a great perk and helped me pick the best temperature for my hair. It stayed hot throughout the duration of use. I lived that it had switches and a turn knob instead of buttons. Makes great curls that held most of the day. The heat protection spray that came along with it made my hair shinny and sleek looking without a dry brittle. My only wish for it would be that it rotates on its own.

I love this Hot Tools curling iron. It heated up quickly. The swivel cord worked well so that it wasn’t tangling around as I moved the barrel in different positions. I liked the ability to change the heat settings so that my curls would set but my hair could sustain as little damage as possible. I've been using it for a couple of days and I've had good experience with it. I like the design of this curling iron. It looks sleek and luxurious with the golden color. It seems very well made and sturdy. The handle is small enough for my hands to hold and style for a longer styling sessions. It's very comfortable to use with the soft-touch grip. Also, the curling iron heats up very quickly. It takes about 20-30 seconds to reach the temperature I want. It has multiple heat setting that allows me to adjust the temperature based on my hair type and the style I’m going for. What I love most is it maintains the steady temperature when I'm styling and my curl can hold up for more than half day.

I am a busy mom and usually don't have a lot of time to do my hair, it's usually sweep it up into a bun or ponytail and be on my way, but occasionally I'll have a work meeting or a date night and want to do myself up a bit and that is where the curling iron comes in. My husband and I had a date night for his birthday, which was the prime opportunity to test the iron. First off, I love the size of the barrel, it's large and extended, and feels like I can take a bigger section of hair to get around it. I had tested it at a lower heat level, and while it heated up fast, I found I had to turn it up to the higher end of the recommended range for my hair type to get a curl that held. I love the look of this curling iron. The gold is gorgeous and the size and handle are awesome! The iron stayed hot while curling and did a great job! I love the swivel cord, I never felt like I was battling the plug or iron to move around my head to use it. The fast heat-up was great! The end result was exactly what I was going for and this will be my new go to curling iron from now on!

I love this curling iron. It's different than other brands i have used. I love it has a heat setting for different types of hair. Granted you dont necessarily have to follow it i did though. I love that the cord attached to the curler moved and gives you a more freedom with movement to curl your hair. I feel the cord doesnt get in the way when curling with the swiveling end. I love how it curled my hair. My hair is fine so i had used a lower setting and my curls were very nice. Give you those nice bigger curls almost beachy waves. I did not like this curling iron. I have long hair that is past my bellybutton and my hair will usually hold curls very well. But every time I have tried this curling iron they fall out almost instantly no matter how much hair spray I put in my hair. And my hair isn’t thin or thick it’s more in the middle. I’ve tried it on my sisters hair which is thick and a little past her shoulders and they still don’t hold. It’s very disappointing I wanted to like it so bad.
