I've wanted one of these Hot Tool curling irons ever since I can remember. I asked for this one for Christmas, which my husband promptly purchased. Since opening my gift I have probably used this a handful of times, ( I don't curl my hair often). To my major disappointment the springy thumb clip has already been causing problems. It won't snap back down. It just wants to stay open. Its basically useless to me now. I thought this brand was better quality than most, guess I was mistaken.

Quality has went down. I’ve owned this brand before. The gold finish wasn’t even. There were black holes where it looked like it bubbled and the gold finish didn’t cover so it gave it slight texture. The curling iron didn’t make good curls that held up.

The first time I used it I thought it was great. I have to straighten my hair first, so getting a curl to stay with a curling iron is almost impossible and this worked. Unfortunately, the second and third time, and even on my daughter’s very thin fine hair, I couldn’t get the same results. I also don’t like that it’s so squeaky and that it grips the hair, instead of letting it glide through. I bought 2 on super sale, returned one, & will likely return this one, too. Just not worth the savings.
