Hover-1 Renegade Folding Electric Scooter - Black

Right out of the box the steering is messed up on 1 out of the 2 I ordered.

I bought this two months or so ago, and just had a wreck because of it's cheap frame. The entire stem snapped. You guys are either going to send me a new one or I'm going to sue the life outta you for the damages.

Purchase this scooter for my sister birthday. She LOVED it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Hover-1 Renegade Electric Scooter! On appearance, this scooter looks sleek. The size is perfect for most people of all sizes. The foot board is wide enough for me to point my feet forward or to the side. The front handlebar area has a few functions like the led screen that also shows how fast you're going. A bell that dings pretty loud. A speed function. The on and off button. A break bar. A small little lever that glows underneath the whole thing, or you can click it to the left and it'll blink like a turn signal, and same for the right. You have to kick off a little for it to start, but it starts up easily. Riding this scooter is so smooth, and I feel comfortable. I like that I'm able to control how fast I want to go, and I love that it gives you about 33 miles of battery life. This scooter is nice! I highly recommend this if you want to have a little fun, or it could definitely be comfortable enough for someone to use as a way to commute to places. This Hover-1 Renegade Electric Scooter rides like a dream!

It’s a lot bigger then expected so I do not allow my 8 year old to ride it without me on it with him but this is a good form of transportation if you need to go somewhere that’s not too far. I did not like that I had to put it together when it came.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hoover-1 Renegade Electric Scooter with LED headlight is pretty cool. I would say especially for city living or even neighborhood living. It makes getting from place to place almost effortless. And let me add, its much easier then riding a bike. The scooter has a headlight and even turn signals. Another positve is from un-boxing to riding was accomplished in less then 15 minutes, not including charging. It has an electronic display, Bluetooth speaker, and goes up to 18 mph. I do like it, however I do have some negatives. First off, its heavier then I expected. Definitely wouldn't recommend for anyone under age 12, and only with proper safety measures! 18 mph feels faster on a scooter then in a vehicle. Also, the display is hard to see in direct sunlight. Maybe it would be more visible with sunglasses on. I haven't tried that yet, though. All in all, I would recommend. Definitely worth the price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family loves the Hover-1 Renegade Electric Scooter with LED Headlight, 18 MPH Max Speed, 264 lbs Max Weight, 33 Miles Max Distance, Black. My 14-year-old son who is 150lb uses this scooter daily to get around our rural mountain community for his petsitting job, and to get to his friend's house. We thought the scooter might have a hard time getting uphill. Nope, it does it like a champ. I like that it has a headlight on the front that makes him more visible at night. He loves that he can connect his phone to the Bluetooth speaker and play music. This scooter is great quality. I expect it to last for a very long time.

It conveniently fits in my trunk for taking it on the go and with its LED highlight, I can ride it day or night. My only complaint is that I don’t have 3 more for everyone in my family (YET)!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m pretty excited for this review. First I want to warn you that it’s pretty heavy, in case you’ve never dealt with an e-scooter before. Assembly is simple, attach brake and handle bars. The take off is smooth, the ride is smooth. Great battery life. Very easy to maneuver in the streets. I live in New York so there’s plenty of places to go and my scooter makes it easier to get to and from anywhere. This scooter is everything. I love it. I love the led lights and the fact that they become a turning signal. This thing is awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great product this scooter is really cool it is made really well it is really heavy which is a con but once it is charged you just put the handles on which is super easy and turn on the scooter with a simple push of a button and you lift the top and lock in place and you are ready to go you push off with your foot and press the acceleration and you can go it holds up to 264 ibs and can go up to 33 miles before needing charge so it goes for awhile it has a headlight and blinkers it has a light on the bottom and everything is easy to use it has a digital display to tell the speed and if you have the lights on and what setting’s etc and it also speaks when you turn it on and it has Bluetooth so you can pair your phone the first charge was 7 hours but it didn’t seem as long after that it’s a great scooter and rides really smooth it just is heavy when you get it unpacked and aren’t rolling it around but all in all it’s great easy to use and works great I would definitely recommend

Love that it has a choice to ride with 1 or 2 motors which with both takes you up to 40mph. It has Bluetooth for music and a headlight along with blinkers. It charges super fast and stays charged for up to 7hrs. I'd say it's great for ages 12 and up. Again WOW.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is SO fun to ride. I've never ridden an electric scooter like this before but it was very easy to use. It took me a second to get comfortable accelerating by just moving my thumb but after a few zips up and down the sidewalk I was off on a joy-ride. Pros: Setup - Very easy to go from box to riding. Unfold, slide on the hand-brake and bell, tighten a screw, screw on the hand grips, charge, and off you go. I didn't need to touch the disc brake, it was already setup perfectly. Drive settings - It was easy to cycle between cruise, high speed, and 2 wheel modes. I really like having these options. Cruising speed is around 10mph and perfect for areas where there are more people and you need to have more control at lower speeds. High speed goes up to 18mph and that's pretty quick but it doesn't feel uncomfortable. 2 wheel mode can be used along with cruising or high speed modes and you can REALLY feel the difference. Especially going up hill. It uses more energy, of course, but it powers up hills without flinching and accelerates faster. Range - I've taken this out twice. The first was just a cruise around the neighborhood to get comfortable, the second was an extended journey to just explore where I could go and see how the scooter would handle the path. I kept checking the display and I was surprised how little battery I used for as far as I went (around 5 miles). Yes, I know this has a 30 mile range but I guess I needed a more practical example of how far that is. If you're walking, it is far. The Ride - Very comfortable handling. The deck is big and wide so it is easy to adjust your stance as you go. The air-filled tires helped cushion the uneven spots in the sidewalk. Storage - Easy to fold up and stash away. I haven't decided on my storage solution yet. It would be pretty easy to wall-mount or just park it in the corner of the garage. Cons: I'm being very nit-picky about the cons. None of them hindered my enjoyment but it is good to know ahead of time what could be better. The Display - Though handy and easy to understand, there were times in full sunlight when I couldn't read it. I can feel how fast I'm going and I can tell based on the scooter's response to the throttle exactly what drive mode it was set to, so not a big deal for me at all. The turn signal - I didn't use this much because I didn't spend much time on the street, but the switch is pretty small and it was hard to tell while I was riding if it was on or off. It beeps when you turn it on and it beeps when you turn it off, but you also might have slid it all the way across to signal the other direction and I didn't hear any indicators that it was still on. This was when I was out in full sun so I couldn't see the display either. I'm also not sure how visible the turn signal is for the other vehicles on the road, especially during the day. I think it would work well at night because it lights up the ground in the direction you're turning, but during the day I'll stick to hand signals.

This scooter is FAST so make sure you wear a helmet. We’ve charged it once and it has lasted us for days of riding which is great for a forgetful tween! It lights up at night with a headlight AND an under glow so you can see the person riding it from a distance. It also has a digital speedometer to let you know how fast you’re going. I also love that it folds up for easier storage. my son loves the Bluetooth speaker because he can pair his phone and listen to music while riding around! Make sure you select the correct speed mode when setting it up, because it does go faster than you’d expect! We live in a hilly area and the dual drive mode helps get up the hills with no issues! If you’re looking for an electric scooter that has it all, this is it!!
