A: Thank you for your interest with the product and we do not recommend placing the product in a washing machine. We do although suggest the following for bath mat care and maintenance. To prevent build up on your mat or on your tub, we recommend cleaning the mat regularly. To clean the underside of the mat, lay it down in the tub upside down. Spray a non-bleach household cleaner on the mat and allow to sit for 15-20 minutes. Then scrub it with a scrub brush that would be used for a tub or shower walls. For tougher stains allow the cleaner to stand for 30 minutes or longer. Lifting, rinsing and hanging to dry after each use will help to reduce the amount of build up on the mat or tub. To clean any marks on your tub we would recommend using a standard tub cleaner. A cleaner that specifically removes stains or uses an abrasive safe for tubs would be the best option. Ensure to follow the cleaner's use instructions.
