Q: Can it go into the dishwasher?

A: No, it must be handwashed per manufacturer instructions. It's aluminum and aluminum tends to pit and discolor when thrown into a dishwasher.

I've had this little guy for over a year and he's still going strong! Works perfectly to make iced lattes and americanos. I'm glad I bought this little one rather than the larger sizes, I fit sure wouldn't have needed anything bigger.

Ive used a moka pot before and had to see if this was good. Its already quite a quirky brewer, but if you work with it it gives excellent coffee. This one does have a rigid handle, a stiff hinge and some minor fabrication issues but at $5 and with a clean (tip; run only water once/few times before brewing coffee) this still functions fine. No leaky gasket on mine. Wow. This was $5!

I have been sent this item twice, and each time the handle is broken off. This might be why this item is significantly cheaper than any other in the market. If you purchase, just know there is a chance the handle will be broken. There's no instore purchase option so it is all up to chance if you get a broken one or not. Or it may break on you soon after use it can't get to the purchaser without being broken.

Works very well. Perfect cheap alternative with good quality results. I have used this for a couple months now and I’ve had zero issues. Make sure you use already super hot water in the bottom piece to prevent a metal taste.

Been looking for a moka pot for a few months now and all of them are a little too expensive for me and i was so happy when i found this one. works great brews wonderful coffee. However the instructions aren’t correct. Any other moka pot will tell you, you NEED TO PREHEAT THE WATER before putting it in the pot. the instructions in the box tell you cold or room temperature is fine. ITS NOT.
