I'm excited about this product! If you set it up correctly by understanding the instructions, then it will hold your phone perfectly - landscape and portrait mode. My phone is a 6.8-inch screen. Cherry on top: got it on sale!

The tape is very strong and the magnetic holder as well. I love that it comes with more than one replacement magnet. Great product and easy to use .

I have never used a magnetic dash mount before but it held my phone so securely that I had to give it 5 stars.

The only downside, and this could just be an issue that only annoys myself. But you have to put a magnet on your phone or phone case, it's stuck on their with very sticky glue. Which means everytime you change your case, you have to either try to pry off the magnet and reapply or buy a new one for this. This mount would be much better if it had an adjustable phone clip instead of a magnet. I do know some people this won't bother, but I didn't prefer it. Other than that it works perfect and isn't bulky in my car at all.

I have a holder/hook on the back of my case which didn't allow for me to position it immediately in the center of the phone/case, but I didn't have any issues with the magnet holding to the dash mount. It has not fell off and I have had no issues with the dash mount not sticking or the magnet piece on my phone. I put the magnet piece on my phone and not my case and the case did not impact the strength of the hold. Bonus that it will rotate if desired - I don't utilize but for those who would, I definitely think it gives this mount an advantage over others.

It comes with a semi permanent sticky disc that you apply on dash or windshield. Then you place the phone mount on top of the disc and it’s held in place by the super suction ! This kit provides a protective film to be placed on the back of the phone. It also has two different sized magnets ( one for large phones/one for smaller ). A magnet needs to be placed on phone to connect it to the mount. It has a rotating ball joint that is great for moving the phone in every angle and great for reading GPS. It charges wirelessly with or without a case and charges fast. I do recommend this product but the only issue I had is having the magnet on the back of my phone. I don’t like it and wish they could fix this issue. Other than that I like this product. It holds my phone up safe and strong with no problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been looking for something to hold my phone on my table yes I know this is a car cellphone holder design for vehicles but being as I am disabled and have a table beside me I needed something that would hold my phone so I can see it and I have to pick it up all the time. I applied the sticker to my table and the suction cups stuck right onto it and it comes with two pieces of sticky magnets to put on it too attached to it but the phone case I have already has a piece of metal in the back for said feature so it sticks right to it no problem and I don't have to remove my case it hangs off the edge of the table just enough to the charger plug in and not be in the way it's been a while since I received it and it's still stuck to the table since that day and I've had no issues with the phone falling off I want all this is a great product for car or home use and I would highly recommend it to anybody that needed one.

There are multiple ways to install the metal piece that attaches to the phone device, which I like, and it has double strength adhesion to the dash. Not only is the mount sticky but it has a suction cup. I’m constantly in and out of my car so I love that it is durable and strong. My new favorite dash mount!

It looks and feels like an excellent quality mount, and was a cinch to set up. The magnetic power is extremely strong and the suction cup has a wonderful grip too! I was impressed! There's a dashboard pad that secures the the mount in place. There are two magnets included, one is big and one is small. There's also a protective film that is to be applied directly to the back of your phone case which is nice. I have a wireless charger so I could not put the magnets in the center of my phone, and I needed to put the magnets a bit lower on the phone so it wouldn't interfere with charging. Highly recommend!
iTap Magnet Mounts Keep Getting Better!

Let me begin by saying I've been an iOttie user for 5+ years. I have owned many of their products and only ever replaced a product due to my shopaholic nature and desire for the newest model. Which leads me to my latest purchase, the iOttie iTap Magnetic 2! For you those of you who subscribe to the 'TLDR' mindset let me give you the highlights: Pros: -Larger magnetic head over iOttie iTap Magnetic 1 - A smaller circumference and thinner adhesive mounting pad - 2 Year Warranty - Responsive customer service Cons: - Only comes with 1 phone mounting kit (not a true con read my pro tip below) Conclusion: Get it! Now on to the non-TLDR review: I've gone back and forth between the iOttie iTap Magnetic and iOttie Easy Touch systems. While both work amazingly I really love the ease of use of the iOttie iTap Magnetic system. I previously owned the iOttie iTap Magnetic 1 and can say the iOttie iTap Magnetic 2 is a major improvement in a couple of key areas. First, the magnetic pad's shape has been changed from a round-shaped head to a more oval-shaped head, which provides additional "grip". Additionally, the adhesive pad that iOttie includes to put on your dash prior to installing the iOttie mount has been reduced in size and height, so it's less obtrusive over previous versions. PRO TIP - If you need extra magnetic plates for other phones or family member's phones contact iOttie customer service via their website and they will send you additional sets for FREE!!! All in all the iOttie iTap Magnetic 2 is well designed, provides good value for the money, is backed by a 2-year warranty, and meets all the requirements of a good dash mount. Don't hesitate, just do it!
Strong hold for a tiny mount !!!

This tiny mount comes with a plastic protector and two plates. The bigger metal plate is to put between your phone and case(use the plastic protector to avoid scratches on your phone), and another black plate to stick outside the phone case, for strong hold. In my case I have a thicker and sturdy case that holds my phone strong. So I just stuck the bigger metal plate on the outside of my phone case. Even with only one plate, the magnet on the mount was holding the phone strongly. I have tried this both on the dashboard and the windshield with an iPhone XR. In both places the phone was held tightly without any shake. I believe it would even hold a bigger phone as well. I was able to put the phone in regular mode as well as landscape mode. Overall I like the build quality, strong hold, the tiny form factor, and the 2 year warranty from iottie.
Great Mount if you don't use Wireless Charging

This is the 4th iOttie mount I've used and this is a great option because it's very compact. The magnet on it is VERY strong and holds my Galaxy Note10+ 5G securely. The only caveat is that it doesn't allow for wireless charging if that's something you use often (which I don't). Overall, it's sleek and compact. It'll be great to take when I resume traveling.

I was really surprised by this mount. Magnetic mounts I've used in the past such as ones made by Scosche use a threaded collar you tighten to set the position of the magnetic pad. However, this mount does not have a collar and still manages to hold the phone how I've set it around corners and over bumps. I drive a 2018 VW Tiguan, which is definitely quieter and smoother inside than most, but there is very little movement or play with the phone while driving down the road. The only consideration I would offer to a potential buyer is to be sure your dash has a suitable place for the mount. Mine is lightly textured and with firm pressure, the suction cup holds well. However, if your dash is not flat, heavily textured, or the only spot for a mount sits across two panels, this suction cup may not be sufficient (the third example I know from experience in another car). You can probably find cheaper suction mounts that will do the job; there are certainly a few on Amazon. But if you are looking for a bit of a more attractive solution, the iOttie iTap Magnetic 2 dash & windshield mount should be one you certainly consider.

Recently just started using this product and I am very impressed. It works great in my car and my phone stays in place and still gets a good charge. I would recommend this product to anyone with smart phones!

Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience first, with iOttie support mad as a result, the product. When I read the instructions where you have a choice to use the inside or outside of your phone case, I opted for inside. There’s a plastic piece of paper that is supposed to be some type of protector between the magenet and case. When I tried to place the magnet on the protector, it would not stick to it or the case. Next issue was that my Ottwrbox case has some molding which prevented me from being able to place the magnet on the center of the case as advised. As a result, I placed it on the lower portion of my case. The case stayed attached to the stand for exactly 2 days. Now it very regularly tilts significantly or falls off of the stand. There ate not instructions that came with my unit saying it supported wireless charging g or instructions how do so so. My vehicle does have a wireless charging pad but of course, it’s nowhere near my dashboard. I turned the pad on and nothing happened. The very worst part of my purchase is that iOttie did NOT respond to my support request made via Facebook. I attempted at least 3 times during business hours and I still not received a response. Additionally, there are no helpful videos on their website showing install instructions. iOttie really dropped the ball on this one. I’ve had issues with the actual adhesive pad for other iOttie pads I e owned in the past too. It would be really tough for me to buy from them again. I definitely recommend you pass on this product.
Holds great in portrait mode - Not sure about landscape

I purchased this iOttie iTap Dashboard Mount and have had a couple of days to test this in the real world. After following the directions correctly for placement of the metal plate (lower half of phone to not interfere with wireless charging), dash pad, and mount, my iPhone XR is held steady in place. If there are bumps on the road, the mount and its magnets holds the phone well. I can say this if it were in portrait mode.
However, I like to use my phone in landscape mode in order to not obscure my view of the road horizontally. Unfortunately, when in landscape mode, the phone shimmies out of position upon hitting a bump. I think this can be remedied if I moved the metal plate to the middle of the phone but this blocks wireless charging. I guess I will keep the phone in portrait mode while using this mount.
Overall, the quality and value of the mount is good. I do not doubt the strength of the magnets or the reliability of the mount itself. It is just too bad that if you have a phone that uses wireless charging and you have to place the metal plate lower on the phone, the positioning of the phone on this magnetic mount won't hold steady in landscape mode.
