Bought this for three purposes: Homemade mayonnaise (never worked, with recipes from KA and one other source) Smaller portion meringues (barely worked, with little lift) Chopping veg for sauces (pulverised onions, creating a soggy mess) Save you money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked great the first 10 uses but then it started smoking when I was using it recently so I haven’t used it since and need to throw it away. It was nice and light and easy to use but had some electrical issue that was concerning. Curious if anyone else experienced it with these models? Have kitchen aid hand blender and mixer and they work great no issues.

I had my 5 cup food chopper for less than a month. I have used it multiple times and today actually made cake batter. Obviously, it is for a small cake but I mashed the bananas, mixed the flour and other dry ingredients, and added melted butter, plus I added the chopped nuts I originally chopped in the food chopper. I didn't know how I would like the fact you have to use the lid to use it but now love it. It's too bad I did not know about this great chopper sooner. I had a Cuisinart 3 cup chopper which I gave away.
