I've been searching for something to tame frizz after straightening my hair. I had never seen grooming cream, but it's the perfect solution for my hair. It doesn't make my hair oily either.

I wasn’t impressed. Product was tacky, didn’t control small fly aways. It also leaves white residue.

Doesn’t do much tbh. I feel it still causes your hair to be frizzy and feels weird after using it.

Great Finishing Cream

4 out of 5 stars
Ace - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
This is the product I've been searching years for but could never find. It's the best finishing product. I have a lot of flyaways near my roots due to breakage, and a bit of this helps smooth them down. It adds a little bit of shine as well so I like to use the remaining product to smooth my ends and ultimately polish up the style.

I purchased this product when the Air dry cream was out of stock. (Air dry cream is phenomenal) This product did stack up to be pretty good as well. I use on the ends of my hair when my hair needs some tlc to blend into my weave. I would buy it again. I don’t use it everyday so it’s not a cult fav. But it’s useful.

Didn't really do anything. Just felt tacky on my fingers and was hard to wash off my hands. Sub-par with flyaway control and was kind of hard to wash out/brush out of my hair. Ended up returning it.

I purchased this product to smooth down my flyaways and to tame my baby hairs for a sleek ponytail look. Overall I think it works well. A little goes a very long way. I also like that it is fragrance free too.

This is great for baby hairs and slicked back buns. Perfect for what I was looking for! I hated the look of gel in my hair so this is a great alternative. You only need a little bit and it will go along way

A bit more like a wax/pomade than a cream

4 out of 5 stars

For me, I feel this has a lot of stick and hold, I would describe it like a wax/paste vs a cream. I occasionally use it on my curls, but it is hard to spread it evenly (mine is very thick and sticky and difficult to spread....think peanut butter that’s beeen refrigerated for a comparable consistency). Be aware, this will require a good shampoo to remove....the heavy oils that are replacing the silicones here are just as, if not more, capable of building up on hair as silicones. Despite that, I’ve purchased a second one. Why? Fragrance free. There really are not many options for those of us who can’t do the highly perfumed stylers. How about a mousse or creamy gel from the fragrance free line?

I used this pomade to pull back my edges when putting my hair up in a ponytail or bun. I did find that it caused some minor buildup, but this washed away fairly easily with shampoo. I would recommend to people with fragrance allergies.

Absolutely love this product! This was my first time trying a product from Kristin Ess! Such a smooth, creamy texture. Love the way it smells without it being too overpowering. This was the last one on the shelf and so glad I picked it up. A little goes a long way! Adds shine and keeps hair frizz free!

Immediately noticeably tacky, however works very well to calm frizz and add definition to waves! A small amount of product goes a long way. This helps create that ‘lived in’ / ‘3rd day hair’ look. One star deducted because if I’m in a rush, this is not a product I would reach for (it takes time to adequately use just enough product).

Great for baby hair

5 out of 5 stars

mj - 4 years ago, Verified purchaser
I purchased this on a whim. I have been meaning to find a product to help tame my fine baby hairs(not sure if it’s just broken hair or baby hair) after struggling to get them to stay down. They are too long to lay down like baby hair so I cannot lay them, I have to comb them back or with the rest of my hair. I have tried hair spray when I pull my hair back which only makes my hair hard as hair spray doesn’t hold them back. This stuff works great. It doesn’t look greasy, doesn’t look or feel hard and holds my hairs in place perfectly! They never fall back down during the day. I will use my fingers and saturate the hairs I want to lay down and then take a baby hair comb/brush(also purchased from target) and brush them down. The brush helps the product not look so tacky or appear as there is a “residue” as I did notice some other reviews say that this left their hair “white”. Give this a try! I will continue to purchase this product.

Love this product! Works so well after I curl my hair as a texturizing cream and gives my hair dimension. Doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy. I love that it’s unscented too, because I do not like the smell of the other Kristin Ess products.
