After about 3 weeks in the fridge it grew green mold and the whole tub had a “blue cheese-like” odor. My stick butter has never had this issue.

This butter is good tasting but it’s not spreadable out of the refrigerator & it if you set it out to be spreadable it gets too soft & goopy. There’s no happy medium. But all in all, one of the better products out there to replace Canola Harvest.

How much Canola oil is mixed in with the butter? My wife hates it when I use the stick butter on my English muffins, so she bought me a Tub of yours, it spreads so ease and melts perfectly. I use it on everything because I prefer REAL butter over that vegetable oils stuff

I love the taste of the Land o Lakes butter with canola oil. BUT, I am trying to have a clean keto diet, can I still use this butter with canola oil? Is this non GMO oil? Is it heated with Hexane and how much of a residue is there in the finished product per tablespoon? Is it RBD oil? I so do NOT want to give up this wonderful butter, but if it is ruining my attempts at being true to keto and health, I need to know the answers to these questions.

Thanks for your kind review and questions! For dietary advice on products to use for the keto diet, we suggest checking with licensed dietitian. We do not make a non-GMO claim for this product at this time, and it does not require bioengineering disclosure or GMO disclosure, due to the processing of the canola. The canola oil is refined, and although hexane is used to extract oil from the canola meal, it is removed through the refining process to the point that no residual is left in the finished oil. Our canola oil suppliers have programs to verify the finished oil does not have any residual hexane. We’re glad you are a fan of our product, and hope this information is helpful. The exact percentage of oil is part of the recipe for the product and is proprietary. LAND O LAKES® Salted Butter is made from sweet cream and salt. Oil is not added to our stick butter.

This is my favorite spread and bi have never had an issue before. I bought a tub that had excessive water in it. There was a spoonful of water standing on top when I opened it I poured off water several times before I finished the tub. This has never happened before. The label read: Lot 34047558. 21:33. 199 05. Best by 01/14:23. 3935 I think this was a one-time problem.

This is the only spreadable butter product we'll buy. We've tried others, but nothing compares to the taste of Land O Lakes. Out of all the product shortages, not being able to find this one hurts the most. Breakfast (and lunch and dinner!) just doesn't taste the same.

Is land o lakes butter with canola oil lactose free? I was told that if butter/cheese has zero sugar that it is lactose free, but I can’t find anything on your site specific to the canola oil version.

We've been buying this for years and loved the sweet taste but this last purchase has a terrible taste. Is it from a bad batch? Did you change something? I'm a little reluctant buying it again. I'm thing of trying different brands.
