LAVA 14.5" Iridescent Glitter Novelty Table Lamp

I’m giving 3 stars not due to quality, the lamp works well and it’s very beautiful. However, our child uses as a nightlight and it’s VERY bright! It can almost be used as a reading lamp.

I was hesitant to buy due to mixed reviews, but it was on sale and I figured I would take a chance. I’m so glad I did. This glittery lava lamp works beautifully and I absolutely adore it. It works better than the “original” lava lamp that I have that always seems to get stuck in lumps. The glitter does all float up to the top when it is turned off, but within five minutes of turning it on, it swirls around beautifully making floating iridescent rainbow patterns on my wall.

I was super skeptical about this lamp due to the lack of any real-life photos of it online. If you’re thinking about buying this, just do it. It really is beautiful.

I really like that this lamp is an atypical “lava” lamp, with beautiful glitter that has a different color depending on the angle you look at it, and if you have it close to a wall it will reflect color like a disco ball or aquarium. I was hoping this lamp would be quicker to heat up and start flowing (compared to a true lava lamp), but it still takes 60 minutes to start a flow and 90 minutes to reach full confetti motion. What I dislike is that the liquid looks yellow (maybe it’s the way the warm bulb reflects into it?), and, because the liquid isn’t tinted (like most lava lamps) the lamp is very, very bright. Great if that’s what you want, but it’s definitely not chill enough for a night light. And if you have it on a table (versus high on a shelf) you can blind yourself with the bulb being exposed.
