This toy is seriously awesome. It was a gift for our 2-year-old and she loves it. Since opening it, she's come back to it several times and has gotten surprisingly creative in her construction. The whole family has been enjoying it!

Cute design, poor materials

My son received this for Christmas but didn't use it until about six months later. When we tried to use it, some pieces came apart that were not supposed to (the sockets for the appendages came out of the larger pieces). When we stuck them back in, we did so hastily, some were backwards. Then there was no way to get them back out, so those holes were useless. Very cute design but unfortunately didn't really work out for us.

My nieces 2 and 3 were very happy and engaged with this toy which their mother said she wanted to refine their fine motor skills. It was a great success as a birthday present for a 2 year old which her 3 year old sister was just as eager to engage with.

Robot

Pieces are big making them easy for a toddler to hold. I’m not sure if it’s just the one we got but some pieces are VERY difficult to snap on/off which can be frustrating for a toddler when they’re trying to build on their own. I think if they weren’t so hard to snap on/off my 3yo daughter would play with them more or at least keep her attention longer.

A big hit for my speech and language therapy children!

I am so pleased with the 1-2-3 Build it! Robot as are the children I have using it with. I am a speech and language therapist working with pre-school children. We have used it to learn about words, such as top, bottom, under, on, off. naming body parts, same and different, matching. And targeting attention and listening. So much learning and my children don't even know that they are doing anything other than playing! I love the fact that you can make so many different robots using the 18 pieces provided and use creativity to make different robots. It's been a bit hit with every child I've introduced it to! Thank you!

My boys love robots, so my sister gave this to my son for his birthday. Almost 6 months later and it is still a toy they play with. My 4 year old has started creating different robots and loves building the robots on the package insert.

Love, Love, Love this Robot!!

My daughter absolutely loves the robot! From the minute she saw the box she was so excited and could not wait to open him (she's decided it's a boy). The robot is brightly coloured and sturdy making him perfect for younger children who are not always as gentle with toys as we would like! The instructions come with ideas of different robots to make but obviously these do not have to be followed and your child can use their imagination to make whatever they like. We love the fact the robot can have wheels therefore meaning he can be moved around during play. The only downside for me was my daughter found it hard to put together/pull apart, but it seems to have loosened a little now its been played with a fair amount. Overall we would definitely recommend this product as it provides hours of fun and imaginative play.

My 3 year old hasn't stopped playing with these since we got them out of the box. The pieces are chunky, easy to hold and easy enough for her to connect and take apart. She was keen to make the robots that were in the pictures – there is a poster that comes with it showing how to make a few different ones. This is the first time she has managed to follow instructions buy herself which she was very proud of. She has since made endless things which has sparked so much imagination. She especially likes making anything with the wheels that she can roll around.

One-Two-Three, Fun-Two-Three Robot

We have been having so much fun with the 1-2-3 Build It! Robot Factory. My little one's been taking it apart and rebuilding it over and over. He loves building blocks but on occasion he struggles to pull them apart or get them to align properly to click together. With this he's had no troubles at all and has not needed any help from me. He's had great fun making 'silly' robots with long arms, a propeller hat, or wearing a backpack. As you can see from the pics, our kitten loves the set too! She watched curiously as we opened the box, then sat herself down on the instructions! Hahaha! We recently took the set to my niece and nephew's house. My son (4), niece (nearly 6), and nephew (2) all got involved building and creating. I think it is great for a range of ages. The pieces connect together so nicely and in lots of different ways. There is a leaflet full of great designs which we've enjoyed working together to copy too.

My two year old loves this toy. As soon as he got it out of the box he started to build. Not even letting his older siblings join in! The robot has lots of different ways it can be put together. What I love about this toy is that it lets him use his own imagination to create his own design. There is no wrong way to put the robot together. It also has lots of round bits that can be used for both eyes or wheels. So you can push your robot around or equally make it scary with lots of eyes! The nice chunky parts also mean they can't be lost easily. It is also robust and has just the right measure of push and pull to enable him to put together and take apart independently. I'm sure as any parent of a two year old knows it's very important to them to be independent! Lastly it is bright and colourful, which keeps him engaged and returning to his robot time and again.
