Great learning toy. Our grandson really enjoyed putting the bike together in different ways and soon learnt how to connect the gears so they would move. Components are well made and sturdy.

So much fun had piecing the various designs together, and inventing new designs too. Once made, often fell apart but my nephew didn't mind, it meant he could rebuild it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had twin grandsons who are 4 years old & they love these toys. Sharing isn't so much fun on this one & that's why I bought a truck too.

My son loves the motorcycles! He is 4, so he needs help following the chart. Everything is color coded. So it was fairly easy.
Fun toy.

This building set was a definite hit with our 4+ year old grandson. From the moment he opened the box, he was instantly engaged and pouring over the drawings in the booklet as he built his model. He soon advanced to building creations on his own. You could see his "gears" turning as he put the pieces together. I totally recommend this set to bring out the creativity and engineering skills in all little designers!
Great item!

I had purchased it to gift it to someone else, but my son tore into it before I could wrap it. Even though this is marked for kids aged 4+, my 7-year-old really enjoyed constructing the different cycles that were outlined in the guide. This will be great for open ended play since we have gears from other sets and the creativitiy is endless.
Hours of educational fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These gear are very easy to pop together and pull apart. We have enjoyed learning about the space needed to make gears move, when they get stuck and what it takes to make all the pieces move together.
I received this product in exchange for an honest review.
Great toy to introduce building and engineering at early age

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is on the early spectrum of age appropriateness for this toy. Regardless, she finds it interesting to play with. At an early age, this toy is great for showing how things can come apart and go back together in different ways to make different inventive creations. She is not that good at building yet but she enjoys watching me make things she can then play with.
It is an excellent starter toy for younger kids that are starting to understand that putting things together in certain ways can make them affect each other's movement. The gears are easy to spin.
The only criticism is that the parts are almost too easy to attach and therefore come apart very easily - making it more difficult for a younger child to play with the new creation.
Great addition to other Gears! Gears! Gears! sets!

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program in exchange for an honest review. We received this set, and my 5 y/o dove right in. She followed the diagrams for the first of three cycles with very little assistance. She hunted out the pieces she needed (it's a 30-piece set) in order to create the gear-cycle and put the pieces together, then played with it for awhile with her 2 y/o brother. The gears and other pieces included in this kit are brightly colored, strong plastic, just like the other Gears!Gears!Gears! sets. It's great to have different gears sets to work with - I can't wait to see what the kids do when we combine the sets together. The possibilities are endless! I also like how the instructions are set up similar to (popular plastic brick building) sets; wordless, step-by-step diagrams that show the progression from earliest steps to completed project. This is not a kit for experienced, older children, however; each cycle is built in 3 steps. But it is a great beginning set to learn how gears work! It's helpful to encourage open-ended, imaginative play (try building cycles NOT described in the instructions!). The only "con" I noticed was that a few of the pieces didn't stay together very well. They kept falling out of place as my daughter tried to add the next step. We were still able to get the cycle together. Overall, this is a fun set to introduce younger learners to gears, and a nice addition to other gears sets.
Had fun with this

These are awesome! My kids range in age and this is something that both my 1st grader and my 4th grader enjoy playing with. We had the privilege of playing with these at an assembly at school, all kids from kindergarten to 4th grade loved this station. This is something that is being enjoyed at home just as much as it was at school. These would be great for a station for stem learning. I like that there are things that can be built with them, multiple ways or they can just use their imagination.
Great for learning & creative play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toy as part of a toy review program, and think it is great. My 4 year old and 6 year old have other gear sets already, so were familiar with how they work, but loved that they were able to make a working motorcycle by following the instructions! This toy is also great for creative play- after several sessions with the instruction led outcome, they started creating new things with the various parts (which have a lot more variation and potential for creativity than a standard gear set). The product is well made and sturdy, I would definitely recommend it!

I am an art and STEM teahcer in Illinois. I recieved this product as part of an incentivised review program. I have used Gears!Gears!Gears! products before with both my elementary classes and with my niece(7yo) and nephew(4yo). It is a great way for them to understand the process of how gears work together. From my experience their products are durable, creative, and easy to use.
What is great about this product is that the possibilities are endless. All Gears!Gears!Gears! products work together so the cycle kit added more options. For my niece and nephew, this was one of thier favorite kits. They love the addition of the wheels and the idea of not just building a stationary contraption. I would say that if you have any Gears!Gears!Gears! products this one is an essential addition to your collection.
