Learning Resources - New Sprouts Grow It! Play Set, 9 Pieces, Ages 2+

Broke the first time my son played with it, exposing the inner glue that was supposed to hold it together. He wasn't even using it roughly, it just came apart in his hands.

I love all of the New Sprouts toys but this is the first set that I have purchased that had a piece break. I wish that there were replacement parts available.

Colourful, sturdy good for little fingers. Prompt delivery. Unfortunately can't give 5 stars as yet to be used

Fun gardening set! My kids LOVE this. I just wish there was enough pots for each of the things to plant. Very well made. I believe this will last a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great spring activity. I currently use it for speech therapy with visuals for a variety of ways to play.

I love all the little sprouts products and have everyone of them but find that many of the pieces break over time. The plastic flower stems have broken and separated at the joint, the sponge handle from the clean it has broken, the bottom of the cup from the smoothie maker has broken off... I know children can play hard but this was with just regular play over a period of time. I wish there were replacement parts to replace the broken pieces because as I said, I love all of the products and so do my kids.

This set is perfect! Just in time for Spring and endless pretend play!! I'm a Speech Pathologist and this set is great for working on communication and building language skills! Some skills that I targeted: • Naming vegetables • Naming plants • Color recognition • Taking turns planting and watering • Building Vocabulary (flower, dirt, dig, watering can, shovel, scoop, pot). . . For extended play you could ask questions about what plants need in order to grow (ex. water, sunlight, etc.) and also naming other things that can be planted (fruits, beans, etc.)

My son received this as a gift and out of all of the toys he owns this is one of the favorites! He loves 'planting' the flowers and vegetables. He learned how to make the water sound when watering the plants with the watering can. This holds his attention for a solid 10-15 minutes. We love that it is teaching him something and plan to ask for Learning Resource toys in the future!

What a new creative toy. I have never seen anything like this. Great for the imagination.

Easy and bright colors

My son would love this! I would love to play with him since I do love gardening!

I love the idea of this product however it needs a pot for the additional flower. It also needs more pots and more flowers, vegetables. I would have to buy many sets for a group of kids to use in my class!

This set is recommended for age 2 years or older. My daughter is 3.5 and she loves this set! She is thrilled that she can plant over and over while switching up the plants in the pots. I believe her favorite part about the Grow It set is that she can shove her flower or veggie in the pot then yank it out. LOL. I found that it really brings out fun imaginative play and helps teach about the basic steps in gardening. My daughter is excited to help out with our real garden later this Spring!! If the weather makes up its mind. Ugh! The pieces are made out of a hard plastic and are very durable. They have been through alot of rough play in the last month or so with friends and being tossed around a few times. They still look brand new and I see no dings or marks in any of the pieces. That makes a winner in my book. I love how colorful and bright the whole set is. It helps set the mood for Spring and Summer. Who couldn't use that right now?! The only thing I would recommend to improve this play set is to include another pot for the "left out" plant. My daughter has gotten very frustrated because there is nowhere to put the additional plant and she said she feels sad it has nowhere to go. Other than that, I would recommend it because we have all enjoyed playing with it together and I know it will last a long time. I did receive this product free in exchange for my complete honest opinion.

Very hard to find anything like this. I wanted this to go with my daughter's play house in the back yard. Super cute and she loves it. I just wish you could purchase more flowers to go with it. I would love for her to have a full garden of different flowers and/or veggies!

My son is 3 and he loves this set! He enjoys playing with it outside. He loves to use real dirt and water with his set, and the set is easy to clean off afterwards! All the pieces are great quality, and durable. They also fit perfectly in my little one's hands. This toy is great for play time but it can also be used for educational lessons, and for inspiring a love of gardening. I highly recommend this toy for any child, classroom, or daycare! Great fun for all ages.

We already own a lot of the New Sprouts play food sets and love them. My daughter was very excited about this new set. She loves playing pretend that she is gardening. The pieces are all great for small hands to play with them. I love how durable and well made the set is. Great quality. I received this set from Learning Resources for my review.
