The Ferrari Daytona SP3 offers an intricate and visually stunning build experience that many guests find rewarding despite some challenges. While the design and attention to detail are praised, issues with instructions and missing parts have led to frustration for some builders. The model's impressive size and aesthetic appeal make it a standout piece for display, but potential guests should be prepared for a demanding assembly process.

Worst build I've ever done

As an adult man, I have been building legos since I was a toddler. I am an expert builder. This has been by far the WORST build I've ever done. I built the McClaren and the Lamborghini EASILY and had no problems. This build has had several missing parts, incorrect instructions, missing instructions, etc. Just AWFUL. If this was my first Technic build, I'd probably never purchase Technics again.

This is an amazing build, the design, quality and everything lives up to the ferrai standard. I built this straight after the 42115 Lamborghini Sian FKP37 and i have to say the Daytona is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the Sian set. The level of detail and building experience is on another level. For example, the most stand out part of this car is the front and rear bumper. Lego has done an amazing job capturing the detail and translating it into lego. The experience building this part and seeing the final product is absolutely amazing. Took me roughly 40 hours to build, towards the end (which was the best part) I didn't want to finish it as I did not want this set to send. I highly recommend this set, if you are unsure about the Daytona or Sian then I would definitely recommend the Daytona. For now this is definitely my favourite set of lego, but who knows, the Mclaren P1 might take this spot.

I enjoyed building the Ferrari Daytona Sp3, #42143. It looks very impressive. I found using the online building guide pictures very helpful. My wife is happy to have many of her Tupperware containers back now that the project is done.

This was my 26th set I built but the first in this price range. I started with a Speed Champion set and worked me up the ladder to be now on this level. When I opened the package I was impressed of the box itself and removed it very carefully from the packaging and opened it also extremely careful to not damage it. Everything in this set is different to the regular sets. The build experience and the fun to build it, see it growing was unbeatable. I won’t miss any minute of the build. The details are amazing, from the gear box through the steering, suspension, door and hoods. It was very soon obvious that this price range is not at all flimsy as the cheaper Technic sets. And the final result confirmed it. This set is much more playable. I was first a little bit frustrated that the bags in the box had 4/5 times the same numbering but it was not bad at all to handle the bigger amount of bricks. The price is without doubts something I had to think three times if I wanted to spend this money but at the end I don’t regret it at all and looking forward to build the next set in this range.

This is my Build number 5 The Ferrari Daytona SP3 Was the worse build ever... Terrible instructions... Missing parts. Worst of all was that the blocks didn’t snap in correctly…You need crazy glue all over place, because if you just touch the car the wrong way, blocks and parts just pop off, resulting in hours of rebuilding and repair. Very frustrating and not at all happy with this product…

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. You definitely shouldn't have to use glue on any of our sets! You’ll want to make sure that each part is in the exact position shown in the instructions and that everything’s pressed together tightly (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). You should have much better results! We're always available at LEGO.build/Service-BV if you'd like assistance!

A product made by an unprofessional team. Not careful at all. The instructions are a mess

The build is very intricate and takes a while but it's all worth it at the end. It looks amazing! It's been sitting on my shelf the past 7 months and I just smile everytime I see it. A little pricey for the piece count, but it is pretty massive at roughly 2 feet by 1 foot, so I still think it's well worth it

Lego, what have you done? For the first time in 50 years I have had a missing part, a bag with not enough connectors in it and a part that broke under reasonable pressure!! The plastic feels cheaper and deforms easier than the previous cars in this range and the instructions were not as clear as previous books, in some areas. This kit was purchased from a recognised toy store and no seals were damaged or cut. Overall, I feel let down by a very old and dear friend.

We never want our fans to feel let down and are sorry that was your experience, but we want to help make it right! If you haven't already, please give us a call or chat at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can get the parts you need requested, both missing and broken! We'd also like to get more info about the instructions that weren't clear so we can pass that along to our teams here.

I did enjoy building this, but if you do not like Technic you may want to think twice. Some excellent detail including the brakes and wheel lugs. As others have mentioned, there are issues with the instructions such as telling you to use the wring part.

Everything is well and great with this product, however my build came to a halt at step 1124 where a 5x1 piece is not anywhere to be found. Sucks, especially since I got this far and put so many hours into it and now can’t complete it.
