A: To help reduce white dust, we recommend regular cleaning as detailed in the manual and using distilled water for the best results. As another alternative, purified or filtered water will be slightly better than tap water.

A: Kindly refer to the back of your manual for detailed cleaning instructions! For your convenience, we have listed the deep cleaning/descaling/disinfecting process below: 1. Fill the tank with 3 US cups / 710 mL of distilled white vinegar. 2. Replace the tank cover and swish the solution around the tank. 3. Place the tank on the base and soak for 15–20 minutes. The solution will drain into the base chamber and loosen scale (mineral buildup) in the tank and in the base chamber (including the transducer and float).  4. Carefully dump the solution from the tank and base, ensuring liquid does not flow into the air outlet. 5. If needed, use a soft cloth, the included cleaning brush, or a dish brush to remove scale from all parts 6. Thoroughly rinse all components of the humidifier (carefully avoiding the air outlet and power cord). 7. Pat base and tank dry, and allow to air dry for a day or two.
