Heats quickly and is reasonably quiet, but it has three annoying problems. 1. There are no numbers to enter time or heat level, you have to keep tapping on 30 second increments, or swipe your finger across a slider to add or subtract time. It is imprecise and gimmicky. 2. When you pull the door open, the whole microwave slides across the counter. You need to hold the oven with one hand while you pull the door with the other. It's awkward and cumbersome to put a dish in. 3. It has no convenient timer to set an alarm for other kitchen chores (like when you want to saute for 10 minutes, or let dough rise 30 minutes etc). My old microwave had that and I really missed it when I got this one

I purchased this microwave based on size (it had to fit an existing cabinet opening). I am happy to say that after four weeks, we (a family of four) have been very happy with the unit's performance. We also like the look of the front—it's very clean. My only complaint was the noise of the turn table. The plastic "wheel ring" caused a lot of noise. I found the issue was the actual plastic wheels needed to be better shaped, they were not round. I sanded then (taking off the uneven edges), and now the turn table is much quieter.

This is a review for the replacement microwave LG sent me. The first one I purchased didn’t last six months. The replacement machine is an older model and not my favorite microwave. It doesn’t heat as fast as the original one.

Microwave started only partly heating food for a bit, and then just stopped heating anything altogether. When it finally stopoped heating, I tried letting it run for 15 mins to see if it would finish heating up my frozen leftovers. The sides of the microwave got hotter then my food. We have LG washer/dryer and fridge that have been pretty reliable. So, I'm really disappointed in how fast this microwave stopped heating. We replaced a 15 year microwave with a bad door that was driving my wife crazy, and I'm kinda wishing I would have just spent money fixing the door instead of spending money on a cheaply made LG microwave. What is 10 year warranty on the magnetron worth if it costs more to repair the microwave then it does to buy a new one.

The oven has mostly worked as expected. The display started losing random segments from the digits shortly after purchase. The magnetron is warranted for 10 years, but if it fails, the repair labor costs more than a new microwave.

Had this about a month now. Works well. Had to get use to the higher wattage and the 10 second increments for cook time, but has been an easy adjustment. Still learning about some of the other features. Unit looks great on the countertop, too. Goes well with my other LG appliances.
