A: Hello, This does not work for gen 5 ipad. Our chart shows ipad mini 5/6 and ipad gen 6 as the oldest model allowed for this pen.

I ordered this on line and it was on a great sale on cyber monday. Once received I wrapped it for a Christmas gift. When opened it did not work. Never would charge. Had to return to the store and they weee name to replace it. Even bought the warranty.
