Q: Is there an anchor included to provide support in the middle? Or does that need to be purchased separately?
A: Yes, the longer size does include a center support.
submitted bytarget customer - 7 years agoA: I bought the smaller size and it did not come with (nor did it need) a support in the center.

Q: How do you remove the curtains for washing once the rod is affixed to the wall?
A: The rod screws into the brackets on either side (like a toilet paper holder, only it screws in). Once you screw the brackets into the wall, you leave them alone. To remove the curtain, with your hand you unscrew the rod from the bracket on the right side, telescope the rod in by moving it to the left, and pull your curtain off. To put it back together, you just telescope the rod back to mate up with the bracket, and screw it back in with your hand.
submitted byJulie - 8 years agoA: You just unscrew it and the rod comes out and curtains off.

Q: Will I be happy with this product if I am using them with room darkening / noise insulating curtains? In other words, do they wrap around the sides effectively?
A: I bought it for the same reason. It works great for me. I would say the only thing that might affect would be if you have an east facing window that more light would get through due to the fact that it does extend out from the window a bit. Light could potentially shine in above. My solution to hiding light hitting the ceiling was mounting the rod above the window several inches and used a longer cutrtain.
submitted byHekunst - 7 years agoA: Yes. We used Deconovo fleece lined grommet drapes (heavy), and the rod never bent, was sturdy, and the right clearance so that the curtain hugged the window and sides. Helped tremendously with a bedroom with a very cold window /draft in winter time.
