Didn't do it for me..

This was more of a domestic drama than a thriller. What started off as a contemporary fiction story, then turned into a bit of a mystery/thriller that kept my interest, & then tapered off into a women's/family fiction novel that was pretty sad. I had no idea the direction it was going, which isn't necessarily a bad thing at all, but it just mad me feel more disconnected from the story than anything. The flow & pacing was just a little off to me. Overall, not quite what at all what I was expecting. The overall story is a good one, I just wish it had felt more cohesive in terms of genre & storytelling so I could connect a little more as a reader.

This book was such an easy ready for me. I very much so struggle staying awake while reading and I couldn’t put this one down! Short chapters made it easy to find appropriate stopping spots as well. The last section had me on edge and in tears! Love love this!
