Purchased for 6 yr old boys birthday.He loves volcanos, but since there isnt much going on he lost interest in mo time.The vehicles keep coming off the track.Its been played with twice in 6 wks

My 3 1/2 year old son loves this toy! I was pleasantly surprised that it did not take very long to put together. Great addition to our Matchbox collection.

This set is a disappointment. It looks cool, but bad execution. The cars do not go on their own. You have to push them through the track in several spots. The volcano eruption is supposed to be random, but it’s really just you pushing on this lever, hearing the same recordings over and over, and then bam it’ll go. But the lava balls don’t even spew. It’s just not great. My kid has hardly touched it after being soooo excited about it.

I’m not crazy about the tiny button batteries required for this toy. We need replacements for the temporary ones so included but the store was out. Grandson (4) played with it for awhile, about 10 minutes, but then lost interest. Hope he takes to it next time he’s over.

Easy to assemble. Quality materials. My son loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] . While having a Volcano as part of a city is unusual-this playset is unique in that it can be attached to the other playsets if desired. But this set is also a game. As the picture shows, you press down on the lever. Each time you do- the playset makes an announcement. These announcements take the player usually-BUT “Not always” to the point where the volcano comes to life and the lava rocks explode from the top of the volcano. So, if a parent wanted to -they could add a set of cards or dice and use this playset as a stand-alone game. One might press down once or twice, and the volcano erupts. Next time it might take 5 tries, to get it to explode. The playset is easy to put together. The instructions are very detailed, and all the pieces have a matching letter code. Just take your time setting it up. Finally, I do not work for Mattel. I have all these playsets put together on a piece of plywood for my Grandson, who is 3 ½. I highly recommend each set and would be happy to answer any questions. Oh! Prices for each set vary but most of them are not expensive. Enjoy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is awesome, when you open the box there is a lot of pieces to put together (30+). Assembly is pretty straight forward the directions are easy to understand and everything fits together rather well. Once completed this thing is so much fun, from the zip line action to the volcano lights/sounds, the eruption of lava was my nephews favorite. He was so excited to play with this set up he hasn't stopped since we got it put together.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this play set for Matchbox. There are so many accessories and ways to play with it. My son loves the jeep. Assembly was so easy that my fourth grade son was able to put it together. The sound effects are really neat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child and her friend really had fun with this toy. Their favorite part was the volcano, how it lit up, had sounds, and was realistic. Also when you make the volcano explode, the trees, and rocks move, all realistic according to my child. She likes the elevator, how it transports cars to the 2nd and 3rd floor. We are not sure the point of the QR code, it would be fun if it made the toy interactive virtually.

It's very sturdy and seems like it will withstand a lot of use. It's a great addition to his other matchbox sets. We're going to get a lot of use out of this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Matchbox set is more elaborate than the other set we already owned. It took a bit of assembly, but it was not at all difficult. All three of my children were eager to play with it. It has multiple paths for the car to take and the “exploding” volcano is pretty entertaining. However, shortly after using it as intended, my boys decided that it is just as much fun to tear it apart and it put it back together. Maybe I have future engineers, but I honestly think they’ve disassembled and reassembled it more times now than they have actually driven cars on it. Lol Hopefully they keep track of all the pieces!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hot Wheels toy is a lot of fun. The toy is small but packed with loads of fun. It comes with 1 SUV for an off road jungle track. There are 6 different paths that you can travel on. Lots of fun little road blocks that can be moved, 2 paths with rocky roads and a Volcano that lights up and makes noise. We made it a game who's car can make it to the end without setting off the volcano. My boys play this for hours. You never know when the volcano will blow! This toy is durable and can be taken apart and rebuild quickly. It also looks like you can connect other Hot Wheels sets to the base.

There is the pretend volcano, there are rocky spots and barricades that can be moved depending on which way you want to send your jeep down. The set up was easy as well. My son loves to show me all the different ways he can make the truck go down the different paths.

They love that the cars can take different paths, they love the elevator and the bumpy track section, and most of all they love the volcano and the fact that it “erupts”. We have had so much fun with this set, they have played with it every day since it came. It was very simple to put together and it’s one of those toys the kids can play with by themselves without frustration. There are enough moving parts and added details to keep them engaged and entertained for a longer period of time. My 4 year old is obsessed with cars, and he likes to bring this set out to the kitchen table and play with it while I do dishes or make dinner. If you have other Matchbox Action Driver sets, this one connects to them with little tabs on the sides. My boys are thrilled to have their own little city started. There is plenty of road here packed inside a smaller foot print than many other car sets. We’re very happy with this set, and this particular series of playsets.
