Q: Does the tan stay for a long time? Or does it wash off? Do you still need to use sunscreen while using this?

A: This tan is not fake tan, so the product will wash off, but not the tan. This product just helps you tan. The Maui Babe after browning lotion will help your tan last longer, and it will also keep your skin from peeling. Yes you do need sunscreen with this. It is recommended that you put 30 spf sunscreen on before you put on Maui Babe.

A: No. I’ve taken a shower after using it and dried with a white towel. It just makes me brown. Just after application brown does wash off of your hands.

A: I’d avoid putting on your face, but it applies super easily to every other part of your body! The bottle says to put sunscreen on before applying the lotion, and recommends using one that is SPF 30 or higher I believe.

A: you should let your sunscreen soak in first, then apply maui babe browning lotion. then let the maui babe browning lotion soak in for 10-ish minutes before sitting somewhere because if it doesn't dry on you first it'll transfer to whatever surface you are sitting/laying on.

i haven’t used it yet. i bought it because of all the hype on tiktok. i knew it stank but i didn’t think it would stink THAT bad. it smells like soy sauce and when i smelled it some got on my bed and stained it!

I agree, it’s not the best smelling stuff in the world. To me it smells like coffee but according to my sister, it reminds her of soy sauce. Do apply sun screen BEFORE applying this amazing bronzing cream. You will be oily but you will also love your tan! Lastly, I get tans look amazing but please do limit your sun expose and don’t be shy with the sun screen 😎

It definitely does the job. I know a lot of people don’t like the smell in the reviews but personally I didn’t mind it. I feel like it smells like coffee bits and my bf said it smells like a food sauce. It’s pretty oily putting on a little goes a long way

I saw tons of reviews for this ok TikTok and found it at my local Target for a cheaper price and available for pickup the same day! I used it over the weekend and it definitely tanned out my upper body. But not so much on my legs. However, I do like it and will keep using. The smell is similar to soy sauce when you first squeeze into hand but goes away quickly.

This has been my go to sun tanning lotion since HIGH SCHOOL — so I was very happy to see that Target started carrying it!! Just be sure to wash off your hands after applying and be wary because it’s brown in color, so it can get on things (but it washes out)

This product smells horrendous,it does not absorb into the skin at all and transfers terribly. Most of all, I have an extremely itchy rash on my legs and chest from using this. I do not typically have skin sensitivities. DO NOT USE

After reading all the "don't buy this" reviews, it's obvious that those people didn't read the instructions. It clearly states to wear with an SPF, a 30 is recommended. I wear this early in the tanning season where I live (TN) without SPF. But in Florida I definitely wear at least a 6 SPF, applying it first, then Maui Babe. I get the best tan ever, for a blonde, freckled Irish girl!

Ghost white red head here and outer banks local! I used this on a cloudy, windy afternoon on the beach, and I have already have more of a tan than when I do spending hours on hot days in the sun mowing grass or on the beach. I used 30 spf on top just to give it a chance to work( I’ve used other tanning oil/bronzers with no spf and I went straight to lobster red). All the reviews saying it smells like teriyaki/soy sauce are true! It DOES have a strong smell. I didn’t smell it though once on the beach. I wish I bought this sooner!! I feel like I have a chance at being golden tan this summer!!!

I originally purchased this in MAUI , I got a beautiful tan . I recommend you do not slather it on all at once. Use a little at a time and , ladies the smell will not bother you then. Read the directions and the ingredients before use, as with every product…you can’t please picky people, they’re like picky eaters. But I love it and recommend it and pleased Target carries it❤️
