MEGA Pokemon Mini Motion Golbat Building Toy Kit - 313pc

love it. the wing flapping motion is cute and works well. i may be biased, as a golbat fan, but it's a fun cute toy!

Unfortunately, this build was really frustrating to build. The whole point is for it to be moving but it doesn’t flap its wings without breaking apart.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter thought it was interesting looking at it on the box so she went over the product list to make sure all pieces were there that is needed to assemble the figure and started putting it together. The pieces snapped in place easily making it simple to put together and as long as you follow the directions there are no issues to assemble. It took her about 50 minutes total to put it together. She said she would definitely recommend the product to anyone else. The figure has wings that are neat because there is a lever to make them move which makes it look like it is flapping it's wings and flying around. It is durable because when she is running around the house with it and flapping the wings it stays together and doesn't fall apart. My daughter loves playing with it. It's a cute product and holds your imagination. Do not get the product though for any child below the minimum age listed due to it having some small parts. My daughter did say she wished it had a secret compartment on the bottom though. We liked that the bottom has nonslip grips which keep it from sliding on furniture or scratching it.

She and the neighbor kids played with it for hours putting it together and playing with it through the day.

Golbat is accurate to the actual Pokemon and when you press a button he flaps his wings :) the display stand is nice also. Now my son wants all of the Pokemon sets!

Has very detailed instructions on how to put it together. Has very vibrant colors that really attract kids attention. Will have me and my grandson occupied for a bit 😁

It would have been helpful to have an overhead view in the instructions instead of always side views. My daughter needed adult intervention at several points during the building process because she kept getting confused that one step showed instructions using a certain view and then the next step changed views.

She loves Pokémon and was excited to build. She said the instructions were easy to follow and she had fun building it. It also has a button for the wings to move which she loves. Overall it was great and age appropriate. The movement was a plus for her.

The building pieces are separated and labeled into six individual sealed plastic bags. The set is for ages 13 plus. The back of the box includes a QR code to view the Golbat set in action. The online QR code for the manual instructions is on page four of the booklet. Scanning the booklet QR instructional code will direct you to the instructional manual site. The site houses various instructional manuals. Once you find the set, the online instructions are identical to the booklet included. The booklet is simple, and only pictures reflect the construction steps. On the back of the box, the actual size of the set is displayed for reference. The Mini Motion Golbat set includes many small pieces. Dedicating time and space to assemble the set will help advance in the building process. The images on the face, ears, and interchangeable plates are all painted on. The wings are plastic and slightly bendable to adjust to the needed display position. One perk about the set is that it is for an older and more experienced building crowd. The mini-motion Golbat set displays well, and the finished size dimensions are ideal - not too big or small. This would make an excellent gift for the hard-to-buy fan. The set is detailed and can move in motion. Also, the many extra pieces included in the set can be handy in the future. The block separator is also a helpful addition to the set. The booklet details each part of the separator on page four. A con to the set is that because there are many small pieces, one might get frustrated when removing or putting together the set. Also, attaching the Golbat to the base can get tricky. I found that slightly bending the wings forward helped set the bat on the base stands. Lastly, the move-in motion works awesome, but pushing the button too soon or with great effort will cause the Golbat to fall off. The Golbat sits slightly in a forward position, and the weight of the Golbat seems to allow it to fall off the base. Overall, the mini-motion Golbat set displays well. The quality and durability are as expected. The color choices and the paint-on features also make the set impressive. Time is needed to assemble the set, and it is rewarding to display the stunning finished creation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was our first experience with Megablocks. Building the Pokemon was a very fun experience. Getting each part and seeing how many to pull out of the pile was great for each step. Sometimes the instructions were a bit confusing, knowing how exactly to turn the base around. It was a really cool building experience in the sense that a person didn't see necessarily how things were going to come together and see multiple steps ahead. There were plenty of unexpected pieces, and little additional pieces to make putting it together more challenging. Unfortunately, the important steps in the base weren't highlighted or marked when things needed to be exactly facing a certain way for example, which made things difficult, and the Golbat didn't fit perfectly at the end and had a tendency to fall apart when using the movement mechanism. This is probably since the wings weren't attached perfectly, but the instructions are a bit unclear when it comes to the wings and the attaching mechanisms, making sure the Golbat sits perfectly in the middle and is able to move. It was really fun to put together, but rather disappointing at the end when not everything sits correctly and the Golbat doesn't fly with ease without falling apart.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mini motion Golbat is a clever piece to add to your Pokémon collection. The rating says 13+ which we found to be pretty accurate. My 15 year enjoyed assembling the set. He is an avid builder. There are 318 pcs that do require some skill. I found the bands, required for the product’s unique movement, to be a challenge. My 15 year old didn’t seem to have the same struggle I did. The manual breaks down the assembly nicely, with clearly marked bags of pieces. All in all this is a nice set for a collector. The motion is a nice touch. I particularly like that the push button to manually flap the wings is obvious but still blends in well with the figure. The figure should be kept out of reach from younger siblings with a knack for disassembling. The pieces are very small.

It probably took a little longer than it should have because he had a hard time figuring some of it out. However, it is a set rated 13+, so I think he did great! The set is pretty fun, the bat has great articulation in the legs and wings. The action feature with the wing movement is also fun. Once the bat is made you can easily remove it from the armature to play with separately from the base. It’s just as easy for him to put back on the base and use the base to ‘flap’ the wings again. Overall, a really fun and versatile set!

I'm sure it looks amazing, and it would be really cool if the wings do move like it says, but it's just so tricky to put together! My son loves legos, and has built many different models. However he can not get past the wing building part of this kit. The rubber band thing does not want to hook right, we both tried for hours. It's frustrating, I wish there was a way to build it without having to hook that rubber band.

She is 13 and it was not to tough for her, but you have to pay attention to make sure you are using the right pieces. If you have a child, that is younger and a pokeman fan, You could make it a child parent project and do it together. She Loves to make the wings flap And she displays it with her other Mega Pokémon that are put together. Definitely an item that any pokemon or lego fan would want to have enjoyable to put together.
