I feel like I have to leave a review like many others about how horrible these instructions are only to further urge Melissa and Doug to address it. There is so much potential with this product if they figure out how to write better instructions.

The instructions are very poor. It has listed there are tutorials on the website but there isn’t any to be found. This is listed for children 6 and up so thought my 7 year old would enjoy this however it has just caused frustration.

Unless you already have experience with looms you’re going to be frustrated very quickly especially if you and your child are setting it up together. There is no video to go to like it mentions in the instructions and then have the audacity to call them to try and walk you through it*insert maniacal laugh*

Perfect for my 6 year old son! We use this while homeschooling and not only did he get to learn a new skill, he makes things for family members, and it’s relaxing! Great activity for teaching focus and patience. He likes to work on his creations while listening to classical music some mornings. We like it so much we bought one for my niece who is 9 as well!

Bought this for our daughter for Christmas. The instruction booklet is very poor with giving instructions. It tells you to reference things on pages that are not there. Then when you try to google how to do them (stringing for paper tapestries) there are no instructional videos. So we have this loom and aren't sure how to use it as the booklet lacks instructions.

The instructions for taking the weaving off the loom are pretty incomplete. I just tried to watch their YouTube tutorial for more clarification, one of the most unhelpful video tutorials I've ever watched. I would really only recommend this for someone that has a seasoned waver to help the projects along.

I bought this for my 10 yr old and while she is able to do the look the instructions for the projects are minimal at best. There is no clear idea of how much yarn to use or how to deal with keeping that much yarn untangled. My daughter got very frustrated. And the video they day to go to doesn't exist.

Great weaving tool for all ages. Easy to mod. I am using rulers as pickup sticks and a plastic hair comb for a beater. Looking forward to buying a few more so I can work on multiple at a time but that might be real clown activity

My 8 year old daughter received this as a birthday gift. I'm generally pleased with Melissa & Doug toys. The construction of this item seems fine, however the instructions left us disappointed. Not only were the instructions unclear on certain steps and how much yarn to cut, they also directed us to a tutorial video that doesn't seem to exist. I was hoping for a toy that my 8 year old could have managed on her own or with minimal adult help.

Good for beginners. I recommend looking for instructions elsewhere, as the ones in the box are not complete. Getting a loom comb will also help create a better looking finished yarn project.

Instructions and video were not helpful AT ALL and we never managed to accomplish what was on the pictures! Instructions skipped key important steps, including how to dress the Loom and 'how to manage" the long string of yarn behind the needle. After 2 hours trying to figure out how to use it (by 3 generations of fairly educated people), we could not accomplish what was on the pictures. False and Misleading instructions may create risks of KIDS Loosing interest in weaving and knitting. I am going to check with Customer service to see how they respond
