Metabo HPT 18V MULTIVOLT Cordless Drywall Screw Gun (Tool Body Only)

Another great tool! While it's niche product, hanging drywall just got a lot easier and more consistent. Love the multivolt batteries and how I can have both 18V and 36V tools at the ready without worrying about carrying multiple batteries or chargers.

The screw set mode is a god send for when the head sticks out. The lockless auto mode is so friggin good. Idk this is the one. Beats all the rest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a pro drywaller so this defiantly helps make up the deficit. Weight and ergos are amazing, cheap screws will jam up but anything but bottom of the barrel feeds perfect. Love the auto modes and overall features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I’m certainly not a full time drywall guy, I do small repair work often enough that it was worth getting ahold of a real drywall screw gun. I am very pleased with this kit from Metabo HPT. The Auto/ pressure activated mode is my preferred option however manual mode works great if that’s your preference. No screw gun is great at backing out screws but this one does fine in a pinch. I like the LEDs down low near the battery, but in Auto mode they don’t illuminate until you apply pressure on the screw and start the motor. That’s fine but it takes some getting used to, just have to be quick with your motion to the wall so shadows don’t screw ya up. The grip and ergonomics of this screwgun are comfortable and felt good in the hand, the large trigger is nice too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a lightweight and compact screw gun for any professional drywall contractor or DIY enthusiast. Small in stature and super easy to use. The handy hook makes it easy to carry and it doesn’t way you down. The ergonomic grip is very comfortable and should reduce fatigue on those big jobs. It has three three modes to operate with Manual mode for complete control with a variable speed trigger. Pulsating mode for adding a little extra countersink if you need it. Auto is my favorite mode which is great for doing volume. Just depress the plunger and the motor will engage and shut off for every screw. It has forward and reverse. The 2 LED lights are nice and bright and perfectly situated to light up your work surface. I love the new 18V Lithium batteries with the fuel gauge. They are super light with lots of power. And just like all the 18V Multivolt tools from Metabo HPT, I can integrate any of my 36V batteries if I need to. Overall this is another fantastic tool from Metabo HPT and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone that needs a professional grade drywall screw gun on their job site or DIY home improvement project.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, I am not a drywall fan at all. I have done a few rooms sure, but I hated every minute of it. I struggled using my impact to put the drywall screws in, and then borrowed a different brand drywall screw driver and did not do much better with that. I am about to do a few new rooms in my house and thought... Ill just use my impact and be careful. Word to the not so wise, just get this tool. While I struggle with holding it right, yes you are suppose to hold the groove towards the top, it drives screws so fast and easy you would be silly to not get one. Seriously set the drill to auto and it drives the screw to the depth you need. There is a simple twist adjustment on the head of the drill that allows you to set your desired depth and then once you have that, you just set a screw in the magnetic bit and zip zip. As fast as you can load it you can drive in a screw. THIS IS SO HANDY!!! Couple things.....I tested taking some screws back out... yeah this is not really great at that, but you shouldn't need that hopefully. The only complaints I can think of is that in auto mode, the light doesn't turn on until you start pressing the screw in. It would be nice if you could turn it on before. In manual mode, it turns on when you pull the trigger. This is great if you want to pull the trigger every time. There is another setting that slowly turns the screw in if you need that as well. Metabo HPT has again put their usual thought into the little details as the bag is huge and even shows a picture of the drill on it so you know the drill is in it if its zip closed. I feel that's what makes Metabo HPT so good, they just think through the little things. If you even have one room to put together I think this is probably worth it.

This tool makes patch jobs easier and more efficient! This saves us time and money in the field. The gun is well balanced and hangs well from your tool belt. The direction and speed settings are easily reachable and can be changed quickly. The gun is equipped with standard gun operation, pressure activated, and full time run, which makes it versatile for any project!
