This is a full sized battery powered saw that feels every bit as powerful as a corded saw. I haven't counted, but have yet to wear out the battery during a normal construction session cutting through 2x material. Several gripes that I hadn't anticipated when I bought this saw: 1) As a righty, the blade is on the wrong side of the handle when I cut making it harder to follow a line 2) I am slightly annoyed by the need for a 36v battery - thats probably the source of the cutting power, but they're expensive and not as common as the 18v. 3) This is less justified because no circular saw seems to have decent dust management, but this one seems to shoot the dust out right onto the cutting surface, making it even harder to see my line that I'm already contorting myself to try to see. All in all, I'd probably buy this again just because it does work well, but I think they could easily make it even better.

What an excellent saw, I'm really impressed! This saw is solid, nothing flimsy about it and plenty of power. It would easily cut though everything, from hard oak boards to LVP. I haven't made a cut count on battery life but it's definitely above average. Handling and weight is proportionate and it's a well balanced saw that's easy to use. Thickness and degree settings are easy and accurate. I would definitely recommend this circular saw.

Great accuracy, easy operation, much lighter weight than anything else 7 1/4”. Blade right is solid, good view of cut line. The lower noise setting is nice on light work. The stock blade is ok, but definitely worth upgrading it. Good speed and power in softer woods (dimensional lumber and sheet goods). Can get a little slower down in hard woods.

Wow! Every tool I use from Metabo is so good feeling in the hand. I used my saw for an hour straight cutting everything from crosscuts, mitres, and even ripping some boards that were 8 ft long. I really was not all that worn out! I'm not the most physically fit guy, but the saw did the work, not me...

I'm a DIYer and this saw surpasses any other saw I've used. The power is as the corded saws. I built my shed with no problems. I will definitely buy again and recommend this awesome tool!

First use was cutting 1/8 inch aluminum in quite speed, every cut just like cutting hot butter. My Co-worker was very impressed too!

I wasn't planning on buying a Metabo HPT tool as they are not present in my nearby stores. This one was offered to me as a redemption of my earned loyalty points. And I don't regret it at all. I am not a contractor, just a weekend DIYer. It has ample power for me and I have never, so far, run out of juice. The feature of running the saw on lower speed makes it much quieter. The speed of cutting is sufficient and a perfect trade off. I was worried about line of sight as it was a problem with my corded saw but in this saw it is perfect. Professionals will cringe, but for me the addition of LED light is very helpful. Actually, it was on my have to have list. I wish the saw was lighter, and that the package would include rip fence. I had to buy it separately. For people interested in dust collection, the adapter is also not included. Those are the downsides but they do not merit the reduction of stars from my review. I also don't care about the colour of the tool but at least it provides some variety into my tools collection.

I originally bought this just for when I need a saw real quick without running a cord. Being fullsize and lightweight and powerfully, I wind up using it all day for the most part, besides rafter day. 36v is more than enough power and I have the 4.0 ah batteries and I battery last all day and into next. Best saw hands down in cordless department. All their cordless tools are great, especially the drills

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw a few months back to take the place of my older 18v 6 1/2" circular saw. I can definitely say the upgrade was well worth it. This saw has so much more power, especially for ripping lumber. It also surprises me how long the battery does last in comparison to the 18v, it's very impressive. The build quality is also very nice, a lot less plastic and cheep feeling parts like the blade guard which I hope will hold up to job site conditions a lot better. Over all I'm very happy with this purchase.

I'm a chronic researcher and was undecided when looking into a new battery platform. I looked at all the usual brands but kept coming back to Metabo HPT, something about that green. Anyway I've always had corded saws and the old school me was like no way is a cordless circle saw going to be any good but after extensive YouTube research I bit the bullet and jumped into this 36V 7 1/4 circular saw. Wow, I was impressed; it's better than any of my previous corded saws. So happy I went with Metabo HPT. I think the price point for the features and power whether you are a professional or DIYer is perfect. Since purchasing this saw I've steadily been adding to my Metabo collection.

It was very handy for my roof replacement project cutting in over 100 lineal feet of ridge vent and cutting replacement sheathing.
