Description
The NT1865DMASQ7 15 Gauge Cordless Lithium-Ion angled finish nailer (tool body only - Battery sold separately) allows the user to move easily around the jobsite without hoses or compressors. Equipped with brushless motor technology and can be powered by Metabo HPT 18V or 36V Lithium-Ion Batteries, it is capable of driving up to 1100 Nails per charge. It employs a unique air spring drive system (similar to Metabo HPT's pneumatic line) that uses compressed air to drive each nail resulting in zero ramp up time, increased shooting speed, recoil that feels like a pneumatic nailer, quicker response time between drives, better flush driving - even at an angle, and easy maintenance if the need should arise due to fewer parts to manage. It also features a low battery indicator, selective actuation, tool-less jam release, tool-less depth of drive, variable position belt hook, and LED light. This 15 Gauge cordless angled finish nailer drives nails from 1-1/4 in. to 2-1/2 in. in Length and can be used for a variety of applications including chair rail, install molding, cabinetry, and other finish applications.

PNEUMATIC-LIKE FEEL: The unique air spring drive system delivers similar performance as a pneumatic nailer
EASY SWITCH FROM BUMP TO SEQUENTIAL: Quickly transition between sequential mode and bump fire mode

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it primarily for exterior use, due to stainless steel or galvanized nails available, and extra holding strength. Also now use it for making interior door frames
"Great tool" is an understatement

Bought this nailer for cedar siding replacement at 64 townhouses that I maintain. So convenient without the compressor and hose, and a very reliable tool. Batteries last a long time. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone looking for a bigger trim gun.
Great Tool! Easy to Use!

Been an excellent nailer, used for exterior and interior work. Belt hook could be configured better, and with the soft tip it can undersink nails. But regardless, still and excellent addition to your kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this nailer along with my 1st gen (then hitachi) to see how it stacks up. Well lemme say this “next gen” hasn’t disappointed! The first gen was good, very good as far as I was concerned. Sinking nails at a desired depth pretty consistently. This new gun you’re looking at has power to spare. It’s the“ I didn’t know I needed it till I had it” deal for me. Making it more pleasant and even versatile for harder woods etc. though I usually use it with pine or fur. Its line of sight is fantastic with the actuater being redesigned is beautiful and allows for the ability to open the tool free jamb clear all the way. I haven’t had any jambs but do like to clean out by the drive pin for maintenance clearing out glue and lubricating. The first gen was ok but only opens about 40 degrees which could be cumbersome. The light is laughable and unchanged. A bit surprised by that. Oh this thing has next to no recoil and is quieter than the old guy significantly. Its drive is the closest to pneumatic that I have used! It is almost exact same length, no deal killer but again a bit surprising but where they kept it long they certainly slimmed it down. Very nice . Also it’s shorter from battery to top. I can go on but I still love my old gun but this new gun is the best 15 gauge cordless on the market and if others are even close we’re in a good place! Oh it also as stated in specs weighs less than old model. Thats one of the last departments these cordless nailers along with weight, have a ways to go to pneumatic. That said I don’t use pneumatic but rarely any more so take that for what it’s worth. Last thing, I never really minded but the control panel is now angle toward the user more easily accessible and what I like best, higher quality blister buttons for longevity. Very nice touch Metabo HPT. My go to for nail guns still and just keeping making the best better! @metabohpt. Thanks!
Reliability every time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been wanting a 15ga nailer for a while. Snagged a 15ga metabo nailer a month ago. Found some issues with heads not sinking fully into material frequently. When I removed the plastic no mar cap off the safety the nails sunk fine ..... bit bulky of a safety fire mechanism as well. Decent tool but some fine tuning needed imo
Great finish nailer

I bought this to put up trim in the houses where I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Though it’s a little heavier than the pneumatic nail guns, the convenience of not having to run air lines and hook up to a compressor far out ways that factor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it has worked for about a year using normally on renovations. We have had it stop shooting on every fire lately and also jambs a few times here and there. Had the retention spring pop out the other day and luckily the parts that flew off were able to be found and put back together.
Very powerful and fast

Should have bought this sooner! Great for nailing on trim outside and inside the house, perfect for Hardie trim pieces outside and baseboard inside. No more air hose to drag around. Battery lasts 2-3 days, easy to clear nails.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been running this nailer for a few years and it has not let me down yet. From furring to door jambs, large base molding, . This 15g is also great for rough placement before hammering then either screwing or setting with my framer, dimensional lumber in place doing remodels and installs. The fact that I have been able to use a cordless 15 gauge as a stand alone without a pneumatic backup is a testament to Metabo Hpt nailer quality. The one issue I’ve had with my 18volt nailers is sometimes they aren’t happy when I throw a MV battery on. Still work but will show error lights. I usually just stick with 18v batteries whenever possible.
