Metabo HPT Pro 16 Ga. Finish Nailer Kit

I had to replace my trim nailer and was amazed how much more powerful lighter and quieter this trim nailer is. That makes a difference when you're on a 32 ft ladder putting on crown molding. And it helps with using it all day too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used these finish nailers for about a month on board and batten Hardie siding and finish trim and they worked great! They were easy to set up and integrate with the Tank compressor.

I have been a professional finish carpenter for well over 20 years. I have used many nailers. This one is the worst. There is not a single good quality to this nailer. There’s no depth of drive adjustment, no blower, it’s heavy, it can’t sink nails in the same exact piece of wood that my other nail guns could, and it’s very expensive. I own other Hitachi nailers that are great, but these new Metabo HPT nailers are not professional quality. I have recently returned two nailers because they won’t drive nails and the lack of quality and features. These used to be the go-to brand, but it seems that is not the case anymore. Very disappointed that they have the “Pro” name on this since it is definitely not a pro level tool.

For the most part same gun I’ve been using for 25 years actually used parts of my old guns on the new one for that I’m happy would have been nice to have a blower but I’m good with my purchase

Overall I like the tool very much, it has a very durable build quality. No plastic magazine, mostly metal parts. The only reason why I have rated this tool a 4 Star and not a 5 Star is due to the size of the safety tip, it having the larger safety makes getting into tight spaces more difficult than it needs to be. With a smaller profile safety tip, this tool is a 5 Star all the way, but that being said the construction and durability of this tool is very good.

Initially our customer was concerned that the tool did not have a depth of drive control for using stainless steel finish nails (2") on outdoor trim. But they like the tool & consider it an upgrade in performance.

Why buy junk several times when you can buy this outstanding tool once?

I'm a professional trim carpenter and have been using this gun for about a year now. I have trimmed over 50 houses and have had no issues with it. Love the hook and the blower. Nice features that should be on all guns.

Metabo, HPT will crush the competition with their pneumatics. This nailer is extremely well made and thoughtfully engineered. 1000plus nails...not one jam
