Miracle-Gro Raised Bed Soil for Vegetables, Fruits, Flowers & Herbs, 1.5 cu ft

I bought above ground potting soil and found, metal, plastic, and glass debris in it. I spoke to a neighbor who had the same problem a couple years ago.

Was totally disappointed, bag states 100% organic. Not sure where plastic, glass and cigar butts, fall into the organic world.

I was very disappointed with this plant mix. It had too much wood mulch. It seemed to have a dark substance residue after water runs through it, looks like black tea? I thought it was waste of money.

I bought 40 bags of this for my new raised beds 3 months ago. I noticed a sewage like smell and thought it was the smell of the manure. I amended it with perlite, worm casting and bone meal. The snow peas and green beans barely grew much less produced enough for maybe one meal. The peppers and cucumbers barely grew and had a lot of yellowing leaves. My transplanted rosemary plants had so much white mildew and spotted fungus despite fungicide treatments, and finally died. I finally figured it was the soil because the pepper plant I grew with a local compost producer grew and produced like mad. It is still growing and producing while the ones with Miracle grow remains a single stem. Such a waste of time and money. Never again.

I bought 8 bags of Miracle-Gro Raised Bed Soil this summer, and my entire garden withered away. More concerning is that after watering, the drainage resembles motor oil! It stained my concrete porch and drive way, as well as a patio table. So disappointing! have used this product in the past without issue. This is the first summer in 10 years with no yield from my garden whatsoever!

I bought 20 bags of this product and got no vegetables from it. It was a waste of my hard earned money and our time opening it, spreading it, and even putting water in it because nothing grew from it for 4 months now. I'm scared of putting it on the ground. My coworker even bought the same brand and kind of soil with the same results, "NOTHING."

Bought 22 bags of this for my raised beds and planting tomatoes, peppers, dahlias, sunflowers, gladiolus- I have absolutely nothing to show for it!! Vegetables had no growth, dried up and died, dahlias have no growth after almost 2 months along with other flowers planted. So disappointed!!!! Lots of money wasted, DO NOT BUY!!!

Even with poor reviews, I took a chance and bought this soil. I've never had an issue with Miracle Grow but a month later, I regret my decision. The reviews are right, the soil is killing plants. I started with 9 plants in this soil, I now have barely 2. All my other veggies and flowers not in this soil are fine, all growing conditions and location are the same; the only difference is the soil. Something about this mix is just not right. So disappointing, Miracle Grow never fails me...until now.

I wish I had read reviews before letting our lawn guy fill my new raised vegetable beds with the raised bed soil. It’s more like cheap mulch with chopped up wood and sticks than what I expected, a rich quality soil. It’s about a month in after planting and little mushrooms are now popping up, pepper leaves are turning yellow, and the majority of seeds did not sprout despite the warm weather and consistent watering. Incredibly disappointed in a company that had a great reputation. I spent a lot of money filling the beds with poor quality material I would not even call soil or dirt. I do not recommend the raised bed soil and won’t be purchasing Miracle Gro products again. I’m worried about what the material actually is and if anything that does make it to harvest is safe to eat or if I’ve been growing in toxic debris. I’ll be replacing this so called soil with actual dirt this fall. What happened to your quality, Miracle Gro? I’m so disappointed ☹️

I bought 3 bags in early May and used them in a 2' x 4' raised bed planter. I planted basil and jalapeño plants. All of the plants turned yellow and dropped leaves. I thought the issue could be over or under watering. I finally added some Miracle-Gro water soluble Plant Food for Vegetables & Herbs and in just a few days all of the plants turned green again and are much improved. So the soil lacks any useful nutrients.

I purchased 10 bags around Memorial day. I am experiencing the same as the other bad reviews. Nothing is growing! First and last time buying this raised bed soil! I thought Miracle gro was a trusted brand name. Very disappointed, not only is the soil garbage, I've lost a lot of money on vegetable plants. It's hard to believe they didn't know it wasn't any good when they shipped it out to be sold. Never buying Miracle Gro products again!

I had thought miracle grow was a good product. This soil ruined all my plants. What scam.

Just bought 3 bags for my garden, this stuff was full of junk and just smelled horrible. After reading all the reviews I decided to return the other two un opened bags and get something else. Very disappointed…

I just bought 4 bags of this thinking not even questioning the quality of a Miracle Grow Product! I just transplanted all my tomatoes, peppers & Thai Basil into bigger pots using the “raised bed” product and now I am looking at all the negative reviews and I am concerned after all the work I put into germination, and tending to my seedlings under grow lamps for months only to see these reviews on this product I just planted all my veggies and herbs in! Wish me luck! But if I have the same issues like found in other reviews I won’t be buying this product again!

Very bad smell and full of strange debris - shiny bits of like foil, plastic, rubber… The smell is so bad I’m thinking they used decayed roadkill for organic material. All 4 bags I bought have this decay smell. Reading all the awful reviews, I’m worried for my herbs and vegetables and health!

I bought this 2 months ago. Very poor growth on the plants and now they are turning yellow and dying. Wasted a lot of money

I purchased this product for flower pots. EVERY time I water or it rains, drainage is dark brown and staining my deck. When this happens, I have to wash and dry my deck. I’m surprised Miracle Grow would manufacture such a product

This soil turned my herbs and tomato plants brown and wilted...dead within 24 hours. Waste of money for the proxy soil and now I have to replace plants.

Bought this for my raised bed thinking it would be good since it’s made by Miracle Gro. I agree with all the bad reviews! Planted our vegetables/herbs and within 48 hours every single plant was wilted and brown like it has been burned. The smell is just awful. The review that said like hazardous waste was dead on. Awful product. Don’t waste your money.

Purchased the ORGANIC soil for our garden beds a week ago. While watering this morning I noticed a shiny shard of glass reflecting in the soil, then noticed multiple plastic fragments as well. So much for Organic soil… do not buy this product.
