Q: Do phone and camera have to be connected to same wifi or can I view baby while away from home?
A: Thank you, one last question that came up, can multiple phones be used for the camera? We will have the one camera, but will have 3 or phones that we will want to use as anyone one of the 4 people will be monitoring the baby at different occasions.
submitted byMerenwen - 5 years agoA: Hello, once you have successfully connected your camera through a 2.4GHz wifi network, onto your MOBI account, you can view live camera feed from anywhere as long as you are utilizing internet/wifi from the viewing device. You must be connected to 2.4 (2G) WiFi from your phone while setting up the camera. Once connected, if your internet provider provides 5G you are welcome to utilize that after.

One of the features of the MOBI Smart App is that you can share your smart devices, such as MobiCams, MOBI Security sensors, MOBI Doorbells, Mobi Smart Electric Plugs, etc. with multiple users! You can either build a virtual home in the MOBI Smart App and share ALL of your devices with your family members, or you can share an individual device with another user! All the other user needs to do is create an account with the MOBI Smart App. Once their account is made, you go to your device's settings and tap "Share Device." Once you're there, you type in the user's email, and BOOM! You're now sharing your device with them. You can also choose to remove them from your device at any time.

A: Hello Drex, thank you for reaching out. No, the device doesn't require a subscription to operate. However, you will need a Micro SD card (16GB-128GB) or a Cloud Storage plan to record.

Q: Is this camera weatherproof.Can it be mounted outdoors
A: Hello Ernie, thank you for reaching out. We don't recommend outdoor use with this MobiCam as it isn't weatherproof. Any contact with water may cause damage to the device and as a result the device may discontinue operating as designed.

A: Hello, thank you for reaching out. Yes, as long as the hotel or vacation rental has a 2.4GHz WiFi network (for Multi-Purpose or HDX models) for the MobiCam to pair with you should be absolutely able to.
