A: Hi there! Yes, our laundry powder is effective in cold water. Many customers choose to add our laundry powder directly to the drum of their washer to increase performance; others choose to pre-dissolve the powder in a cup of warm/hot water, then add the solution to the detergent dispenser of their washing machine.

Love Molly’s Suds and am so happy I can find it at Target now! I used to order directly from the company but would wait until I had a huge order to meet the free shipping minimum. It will be nice not to have to stockpile! I used to work in the clean beauty industry and this product is the real deal in terms of ingredient transparency and their mission.

We've been thru all the "safe" "sensitive" detergents. All give a rash on back. This one does NOT. Dermatologist said back rashes are often residue on clothing because you are leaning against your clothes when sitting. Clothes have no scent and are much softer coming out of the dryer. Bonus! (no dryer sheets, just the wool balls) We dissolve it in a little cup of hot water toss that in then start the cold wash. Will still pretreat stain with commercial treater and just do an extra rinse and no problems. Never going back to those liquids full of terrible sounding ingredients.

I was skeptical I would like this laundry powder because I’ve tried other brands that cleaned my clothes but left an odd scent. With Molly’s, my clothes smell fresh without using harsh fragrances, and they are clean too! I love using this for my newborn’s clothes. The clean ingredients make me happy to use for baby’s clothes, and it’s been gentle on his skin. All in all, it’s a great detergent I can use for the whole family.

Seems to work fine. We switched from free & clear when they hiked up the prices, and so far no problems. I use the recommended one to two scoops per load and my clothing comes out clean. I pretreat stains before washing. If the items are particularly musty, I run a vinegar prewash before the regular cycle, and my clothes are smell free.
