Amazing product. THX certified Ultra and it shows. Great dynamics, great dispersion, great clarity, every seat is happy and they look really nice at least to our eyes. The front soundstage of 2 365t's and the 365c is seamless and amazing. A true cinema experience. Highly highly recommend. Speakers are not rear-ported hence that allows for flexible placement. In my case I have them right up against the wall. They definitely need a subwoofer but you're probably buying that anyway so I don't even consider this a negative. The speaker instead focuses on 80 hz+ and the quality on display is superb at all volumes. As a bonus review I also have 2 265B's for surround and everything is just so seamless and all panning and surround effects render perfectly.

Having recently upgraded my home theater setup with four Monolith by Monoprice THX-365T THX speakers, I'm excited to share my experience. These speakers are an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their audio experience without breaking the bank. Pros: Price: The THX-365T speakers offer great value for money. Their performance rivals that of more expensive brands, making them a smart choice for budget-conscious audiophiles. Accessories: They come with all the necessary accessories, ensuring a hassle-free setup. Design and Build: The speakers boast a sleek design and robust build quality, blending seamlessly with most home theater setups. Clarity and Wide Soundstage: One of the most impressive aspects is their ability to deliver clear sound with a wide soundstage. This feature immerses you in a rich audio environment, perfect for movies and music alike. Detailed Highs and Mids: These speakers excel in reproducing detailed highs and mids, making them ideal for listening to a wide range of audio content. Cons: Atmos Speakers Performance: In my setup with 12 - 15 ft ceilings and existing in-ceiling speakers, the Atmos functionality of the THX-365T didn't make a significant difference. However, this could be due to my specific setup. Better Suited for Lower, Non-Vaulted Ceilings: While these speakers are impressive, those with high or vaulted ceilings, like mine, might not experience the full potential of the Atmos effect. I believe they would be more effective in environments with lower, non-vaulted ceilings. Conclusion: The Monolith by Monoprice THX-365T THX speakers are a solid choice for anyone looking to upgrade their home audio system on a budget. While the Atmos feature may not stand out in setups with high ceilings, the overall sound quality, build, and design make these speakers a worthwhile investment. For those with standard ceiling heights, these speakers could be a game-changer. I definitely recommend adding the THX-365T to your list of budget-friendly, high-quality THX speakers.

Amazing speaker for the price, get it on sale for close to half off and never look back. Laid-back but detailed sound, plays very loud with no distortion.

They are working in perfect cohesion together as my 7 bed layer speakers. Great speakers that take to room correction well. Now I need to buy 5 speakers to complete the height channels for Atmos and Auro 3D. Probably going with the 265b for them. Yes there are bouncy house speakers in booth for Atmos effects in the 365t. But a true dedicated speaker in the proper location will never be beat for proper sonic reproduction by a speaker that is trying to bounce that sound up there. The 365t are high in value in my book, and THX certified to boot.

I was looking for some atmos height speakers but wasn?t happy with the look when I found these. Most important to me is that the sound quality is superb both with music and movies. It?s also a good looking speaker that?s not too intrusive visually. Works very well with my Pioneer Elite VSX-LX105 receiver. Delivers some nice height effects. This speaker does drop off at 80Hz, but that?s not a problem since I have a very good sub. All in all, An excellent value considering the sound quality. Highly recommend.

Speakers that emphasize clarity

Thumbs up graphic, would recommend

These are very large bookshelf speakers that are very solidly built. The fit and finish is not high end but it does not feel/look cheap. They can play very loudly without sounding strained or pushed. The sound is balanced and very clear. I wouldn’t call them bright but they have sparkle in the treble. They are excellent for movies and very good for music. Regardless of application, these NEED a sub. Bass begins rolling off around 80hz. To me these speakers sound best a higher volumes. I use the atmos models for music playback because it adds a fuller/taller dimension without messing up the imagining. These are at home in medium to large(r) spaces. I also have the (much) larger 465T. The biggest difference is the 465T extends lower (more bass), has a fuller sound and can handle more power. The towers start rolling off around 55hz, are down 3db around 45hz and down 10db at 29 hz. For music you could forgo a sub. Final thoughts: If you value clarity, especially in the midrange, enjoy a balanced sound (no emphasis on a particular frequency band) and have a sub (or plan to purchase one) these are very good speakers for both 2 channel and home theater. If you want warm sounding speakers, these are not for you. In my music application these sound best with a class A/B or tube amp (or D with tube preamp) because the speakers are already very clear and I like to add “weight” to the sound.

The atmos is more than I was expecting. Was honestly not planning on using it but it's actually pretty cool. Given that, it's a phenomenal deal. These sound good and look good. Glad I spent $500 on these great speakers and not $1000 on other, not sure what I would be getting more.

Very impressed thus far. Very well packaged. Fit and finish is nice. Sound quality is very good. These are being used for home theater only so I can only comment on movie watching. Very immersive experience, especially with the built in Dolby Atmos drivers. Highly recommended.

These replace some old NHT Three speakers I had that my 2 year-old broke all the midrange drivers on. I didn't want anything expensive since there's a good chance they'd get damaged again. I bought these, along with the matching center speaker, on the black Friday sale. I super-glued the grill to the cabinet to protect them. So far, my child hasn't touched them, so I think they'll be good for many years to come. I gave them 4 stars because they are pretty good for the price. It's big, bold present sound. What I don't like is that they seem a little harsh. I've had them for about 6 months and I have not gotten used to the harsh sound. Maybe if they were placed behind perforated movie screen, they would be perfect. Because they don't produce any bass, there is no real punch. I use these with two Bag End subs, so I have the depth, but no fast punch. I suspect that the missing bass makes them seem more harsh. As an audio engineer, I'm used to sitting in front of studio monitors all day. so I am used to a flat and natural sound. If I didn't have a child, and I didn't care how ugly the speaker were, I'd just use decent studio monitors for LCR. The look of them is not beautiful... it's nice, and good enough, but still looks a little cheap. I also wish they had mounting points on the back. I needed to mount them to the wall, so I just did a ghetto job and mounted them using L brackets screwed right to the bottom. It works, but it's not elegant. Overall, I'm happy with these. I'm being quite critical in my review, but it's still a great compromise of price, looks, and performance. For most movies, I can just forget about the speakers and enjoy the movie. But on some films, the harshness of these stand out, and I start thinking about the speakers., and I'm taken out of the moment of the movie. Many reviewers give these a glowing review, but I'm not hearing things the way they do, apparently. I'm using these with a 200watt Outlaw amp and a Marantz Preamp. Would I buy these again? Not likely. I'm sure if I search long and hard, I'll find something better in their price range.

I have the LCR speakers paired with the Monolith 10? THX certified sub. They sound really, really nice. When using them for home theater, they sound incredible. However, if using them to listen to hi-fi music, they?re not as good. With music, I find they don?t have that ?wow? factor. They?re still great speakers though. I highly recommend them. I have never liked the black, plastic, simulated wood look of non-audiophile level speakers. Therefore, I painted my speakers to blend into our living room walls. I also replaced the speaker grill material. The wife was initially hesitant to have these speakers in our living room. But, once I painted them, she now approves.

Awesome sound. Moldy grills. Yuck!

I'm torn on adding this review. The speakers sound absolutely amazing, but the grill/screen arrived with white powder mold all over it. I bought 2 and both had the mold, so clearly this is an issue. Really takes away from the experience. So - I'm docking two stars because two separately boxed speakers arrived with mold on the grills. The last thing I want in my basement audio room is mold spores. I'm really disappointed. There is desiccant in the cloth bags that the grills arrive in, but it clearly isn't enough. Now - on to the sound. Absolutely amazing. I have a sub running with this and couldn't be happier. Hits every note with precision and fills my room with 3d sound. You'll need the subwoofer though, so plan that into your setup.

Not much to say. These are awesome. I'm convinced that these are the best performing speakers for their dollar bar none. Bought 4 of these, 1 of the 365C, and 1 of the 12" ported THX Ultra subwoofers for an excellent 5.1.4 setup.

Sound quality on these is lacking anything that is reasonable. If you get get a used set I guess it would be ok but really I just sold the set I bought to a friend as I didn't like them at all.
