Q: why can't it be used on plates/bowls/utensils and tupperware? Is it toxic?

A: Thank you for asking about using Mr. Clean Extra Durable Erasers on your plates, bowls, Tupperware, and utensils, Red. We want to assure you that our Magic Erasers are not toxic, but because they wear down as you use them, we hope you'll take care to pick up and throw out any small bits of the Eraser that may wear off. This is why we encourage you to not use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on dishes. We suggest checking in with Tupperware, regarding how to get these dishes their best clean.

A: We recommend using light pressure when using on vinyl. If the vinyl has a shiny finish or is textured, scrubbing too hard may remove the finish or the texture.

A: Yes – you can use the Original, Duo and Extra Power versions on paint, but we don't recommend using it on faux paint, car paint or surfaces where painted within the last 3 months. Only use on 'matte' or 'flat' finishes

A: Thanks for asking if my Magic Erasers can be used on cloth/cloth sneakers. If your athletic shoes are leather, you can use my Erasers on them. You can also clean the soles with one of my Magic Erasers. If your shoes are canvas/cloth, I don't recommend using a Magic Eraser on them.

I'm loving this product, but need to know: 1) How many times can you use the same sponge, 2) Does it keep on "sudsing-up" with repeated use, 3) Does it still clean without the suds?

I rather use a normal sponge and cleaning product then use this. the product crumbled after a few uses and just wasn't worth my money overall.

I had never purchased a magic eraser before but a friend had one on their counter and raved about it. Not sure if I just got a bad box but these are horrible. Even just wiping a simple light switch and it broke to pieces. I get that it’s supposed to breakdown like an eraser but this was ridiculous. A pack of 6 and in 5 minutes 2 were already in the trash. Grrrr

I had company over and some how the little one got ahold of a pencil and drew on my wall, I remembered that I had a Mr.Clean magic eraser that I had picked up and it cleaned every bit of the pencil off my scuff marks from furniture however did not i can use one in my bathroom on my tub ,kitchen anywhere there is a tough stain .I picked up the unscented one. The packaging is eye -catching and easy to spot in the store.

Could not remove simple soap scum from my tub, even with hard scrubbing. I followed the directions and everything, but it still didn't just wipe away the soap scum like magic. I still have other areas of staining in the tub that it couldn't take care of at all, no matter how hard I scrubbed. I don't usually write reviews, so the fact that it's so terrible so as to compel me to write a review should tell you something. Also, it fell apart first time I used it. Don't waste your money.

I always appreciated this product for cleaning permanent marker off of tables and things (although it will take off varnish). but after moving into a new house, I have found it works wonders on tile and sinks. Our kitchen sinks were white and there were stains on them (there before we bought the house) that we could not clean. Same with white tile in our bathroom. I scrubbed with bleach and scrub brush and it would not clean. Magic eraser took it right off.

I’ve been using Mr. Clean Extra Durable Scrub Magic Eraser Sponges for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed! These sponges completely fell apart every time I used one. I was wiping off a cabinet and the sponge broke in half with multiple particles dropping to the floor. They erase dirt well but not worth it when I have to use all 4 because they crumble like chalk. Then I have to vacuum the pieces up. For the “extra durable” moniker, I really expected a lot more.

We love Magic Erasers for a variety of cleaning tasks, walls, quartz counter tops, cabinets, etc. Recently I was using one to clean scuff marks from our tile floor and it was great! But it would be EVEN BETTER if the product came in a format that didn’t require me to get on my hands & knees to clean floors. For example, a size and holder that could fit on a mop handle.

First time I use the pad it started falling apart. I don’t feel that I had to scrub any less than usual. All I did was clean the microwave and the counter around it.There seems to be way more positive reviews than negative. I’m trying to figure out if I did something wrong.

I can't see how they can call them durable. I took a brand new one simply wet it, and when I folded it to get rid of excess water it split. I will give it a 7 to 8 for cleaning but a 2 on durability. I will definitely continue to use them as they work great for my stove top and stainless steel sink. But I don't think that they should be able to call them durable.

I’m glad you reached out to tell us about this, because I’m confident that I can help this not occur again in the future. When using Magic Eraser Extra Durable, start by wetting the Eraser with water. Do not fully bend the Eraser, but gently squeeze out the excess, do not twist or bend it as you’ve described. To clean stubborn, stuck on grime, gently rub the dampened Eraser on it, to wear it again. Once done, rinse with water to remove leftover mess which can occur, as the Eraser is designed to break down as you use it, just like a pencil eraser.
