Do not buy this. Broke down in less than 6 months. Cannot return anymore. After every brew a white/silver pasty substance form on the filter plate. Never went away. Mr coffee support absolutely don’t want to comment on this issue. My mistake holding on to it hoping this will eventually go away but the machine completely stopped brewing today except the steam. I had bought one for my friend as well which also have the white pasty issue.

I wanted to get this cute red Latte Maker, but my wife said to get the name brand. She was When the portafilter broke, i contacted customer service and within days they shipped me a replacement part. I was a little disappointed the part broke, but more than happy i received a replacement fast. It makes great Lattes

I was a barista and I enjoy this machine. I got it 4-5 years ago for Christmas and still use it to this day. I don’t use it as much because I got the iced coffee maker and more an iced coffee person than hot lattes. But when it comes to winter and especially Christmas time I always bring it back out for some yummy warm lattes. It’s super easy to use and still makes really good lattes. It’s perfect for those starting out and get the hang of steaming milk and not breaking the bank if you want to see how often you’ll use it. Also perfect for those on a budget and would like to make coffee at home and stay away from coffee shops. I have saved tons of money because of this machine and the iced coffee machine!! I’ve always been happy with mr.coffee machines. I will say I’m very simple person and at this time don’t need all the bells and whistles.

I had one just like it for several years. When the old one finally failed, I ran right out and bought another. After only a few weeks the selection knob on the side broke off. I discovered the inside knob connection was made of very tiny plastic pieces. I guess I'm not surprised it broke. I'm VERY unhappy and now without my daily espresso.

I bought a week ago, used a few times was loving it until this morning 6/18/2021 right in the middle of brewing the espresso shots the machine exploded! Cap was on tight like always did everything right like i do every morning! Sliced my finger open and burnt my legs, and caused some damage to our kitchen walls! Horrible Horrible product!!!!!

I bought this and was happy with it. It does the job, frothing works great, expresso comes out quickly. However, every other time, the coffee smells bad- like the reservoir isn't clean. I'd follow the care instructions, using vinegar etc, even bought a coffee machine cleaner, and it works fine next time, then reverts back to smelly coffee. The issue I think is the metal reservoir. A lot of other Mr Coffee machines have plastic water reservoir, which can be taken out and cleaned. This one has a metal reservoir that you cannot take out. After a couple of attempts to keep it clean, I gave up!

Espresso is not only Italian coffee but also Cuban. As the daughter of Cuban immigrants I have been drinking espresso all my life (way before Starbucks existed) and have had a few Mr. Coffee espresso makers. This model we purchased about a month ago after our previous model stopped brewing. I have a few issues. The machine brews fine and the frother works fine but: #1 the cover on the frother is useless, we swithed it with one from a previous model that is a soft rubber and is 100% better. #2 The coffee cup it comes with is not a good option for brewing coffee into to be able to pour it out into the mini espresso coffee cups since it has no spout, we also switched this out with our previous model's glass carafe. #3 And this is my #1 COMPLAINT, the coffee tastes like plastic, we have brewed water through it several times and also water with vinegar. This is unacceptable to me and never has happened to us before with any previous model. I almost feel like it may be unhealthy to drink, like drinking some kind of chemical. We drink espresso almost daily so this is a problem for us and very frustrating, especially since this is the only model available in stores that won't break the bank or require the use of those darn pods. Please fix this. You need to go back to the drawing board with this model and use different materials in manufacturing that won't affect the taste, get rid of the coffee cup "carafe" and return to glass carafe and replace the plastic frother cover with the earlier models soft rubber one. For the sake of keeping your customers happy and loyal, please fix this

We have had two of these so far and both failed the same way. If you have even a small amount of water splash outside the filler opening it runs down into the housing. There is a small microswitch on the inside connected to the dial. The water runs over that microswitch getting it wet so it fails. On the first one I replaced the microswitch and that one lasted about a year. We have two of them one up at a cabin in Georgia and that one too failed the same way. So I bought two regular switches and installed them in the side of the housing rather than throw them away. They have been working fine since. If they had simply installed a little shield over the microswitch they would not fail.

Got this yesterday and there is an awful plastic smell coming from the cap. I cleaned everything and ran a half dozen cups through and the smell does not go away. Ruined my taste for a latte. Taking it back. I ah e had two others nd never had a problem.

So apparently they denied to publish my last review. After running 20 cycles of water through the machine to clean it before the first use, I noticed little black bits and tiny pieces of metal in my cup. Buyer beware! Clean machine before you use!!

My daughter bought this for me (and herself) as a Christmas gift. We are espresso newbies, but this is so easy to use! It's really fast brewing, too. Now I know what to buy her when she goes off to college next year! I only wish it came with a carafe so it's easier to pour espresso shots into other cups.

I haven’t even had a chance to make espresso with this machine because after running the machine with just water 20 TIMES, I am still getting little pieces of metal and black bits in my cup!! So dangerous for a company to offer a product like this! Now I’m afraid to even brew a cup because who wants to swallow metal??!

I have THROWN AWAY the entire unit. I was brewing coffee a few days ago - suddenly there was a puff of team coming out of the brewing basket - and then the entire thing exploded! My ceramic cup was thrown onto the floor - broken. HOT coffee grounds everywhere and hot coffee liquid on my shower curtain, cabinet, and floor. It took me almost an hour to clean up. I threw the entire unit out as unreliable.

I bought this machine about 3 months ago. Within the first week, the plastic cover of the frothing wand broke. Other than that it worked well until I was in the middle of making an espresso and the lid to the water reservoir POPPED! The rubber seal tore and it sounded like a firecracker went off! Steam and espresso went everywhere.. Scared me half to death. Glad I wasnt standing too closely or I would have gotten hurt.. Be careful when using this product.
