Murad Rapid Dark Spot Correcting Serum - 0.33 fl oz - Ulta Beauty

I am loving how it makes my skin feel and am seeing results with dark spots and skin tone.

I love this stuff but its so expensive. I got a sample from Ulta and started using it all over my face and shockingly all my little pimples went away (i still get hormonal cysts but thats different). I really like what this has done for my skin over the past 3 weeks!

This is probably the first product that showed any improvement on my melasma/dark spots. I see it fading but not completely gone. I'm also in the middle of transitioning from perimenopause to menopause so that's a factor I need to consider. I do apply a moisturizer after applying this serum because it's a bit strong for me. Nonetheless I'm keeping this in my daily routine.

I despise the smell of this, but it only lasts for a few seconds. The product I feel has lightened my acne scars a bit, it's not super transformative but definitely helps and is good for daytime so I like it!

Ok! I am in menopause and that has triggered my melasma pretty bad! I am waiting for my symptoms of the menopause to get easier then I will start treatments and Peels to correct. But o decided to try this during a big sale and omg I wish I didn't just get the small travel size one during that sale. Nothing besides hydroquinone has ever worked this well! Melasma is so stubborn! I'm def good with waiting a little longer to start treatments.

I've definitely noticed my dark spots getting lighter. However, there isn't a lot of product and it works pretty slowly. It made my skin softer and is slowly fading the dark spots. But the price is pretty high and I used it about everynight for a month and there is no more product coming out. I don't feel like my spots are faded enough for me to be satisfied but I do see a difference but im sure there are other products that are cheaper but could get similar results. It's disappointing because I really like this brand.

I have very stubborn malasma on my forehead that I usually use a prescription cream for that my cosmetic dermatologist prescribes. This Murad product works just as well. And you can use it everyday whereas the Rx you can only use for a few months at a time then stop which is usually when my melasma returns. It took awhile to notice a difference with the Murad (same with the Rx) but it definitely worked for me. I used it 1-2 times a day and didn't notice a difference until the bottle was almost empty but it was a big difference. The only downfall is it's expensive but I bought mine on sale.

It's clear and a little thinner than I expected. I dispense more than I feel I need when I use it and have quite a bit left after I apply it. I need to use it for a few weeks to be certain how I will like it. I hope it works, I have some dark spots on my right cheek that really bother me.

This was just an expensive waste. It didn't improve my dark spots at all, and eventually started causing mild irritation on certain parts of my face.

this product is literally AMAZING. like i cant even express it enough. i had a big scar on my nose in the ending of June its now September and the difference is crazy. mind you i have been using this serum since July!!

this product PILLS LIKE CRAZY, regardless of how long I wait to layer another product on top of it. I also havent seen results so I probably wont ever repurchase this product.

In my late 50's and all that sun from my youth has been showing up as sun spots all over my face. I've been using this serum every 3rd night to avoid irritation, much less than recommended, and have seen a significant reduction in dark spots. I've tried several products and nothing has improved my dark sots as well as this. It is a little sticky going on, but disappears once i apply my moisturizer over the serum. I haven't noticed a smell. I personally would never use this in the morning as the glycolic acid will cause sun sensitivity. It is an absolute must to wear sunscreen SPF 30 or greater every day, but especially after using this product, to prevent more dark spots.

This is the 4th product I've tried for my melasma, and it is working! I've noticed about a 75% reduction of my melasma in about 3 months with continued use and copious amounts of sunscreen. My melasma seemed to pop up out of nowhere. I do keep all of the skin on my face quite smooth with a combination of hair removal and exfoliation. The melasma popped up on my upper lip quickly, and I'm not sure why, but it may have had something to do with over-exfoliation and/or hormones. Either way, this serum is working! I initially used a sample of this serum that was in a GWP bag from Ulta, and after blowing through that sample and seeing some results, I ordered the full size. I'm now ordering a second full size. It's easy to apply, though I wish a smaller amount would come out of the pump! I only use a drop or two, so I have to cautiously do a 1/3rd pump at a time, morning and night, as my first step after cleansing my face. When I get too much out of the pump at a time, I applied the extra to an old acne mark, and it seemed to lighten that as well! I am using a strong SPF in that area as well, as I do not want any sweaty (glistening) glow frying my area of skin that got melasma in the first place. You MUST use a good sunscreen while using this product, or you're wasting your money! This product does sting quite a bit after I use heavier exfoliation to my skin (like Exfolikate), waxing, or dermaplaning, but the painful stinging only last 5-10 seconds. The only other complaint I have is that I can not see how much product is left in the cyclinder! I wish there was at least a sliver of blank/clear space along the bottle's otherwise opaque, orange packaging so that I could peek in. Thank you, Murad! I'm able to go back to not wearing heavy foundation again now that my melasma is almost gone. (Notable: I'm not sure if I should use this continously or of a 75% reduction is the max I'll get, but I wanted to share my thoughts as I'm so pleased with the results I've experienced so far! I wish I would have taken before pics, but I honestly had no idea that I'd have such great results!)

I can't believe I paid even hal price for this- it's not worth even that. does nothing and pills AWFULLY no matter how much or little you put under or over it. absolutely a waste of money and your other products and makeup. also STIIIIICKKKYYYYY 😵‍💫🤮

I really tried with this product but it was useless! I applied every night for months and saw zero changes.

Smells horrible but it honestly works and works fast, I had darker skin spots on my chin and around my mouth could be melasma and or from tanning and the sun but this stuff took all the dark spots away pretty much right away. I dont usully leave reviews but this stuff I will rebuy, only con is the smell buy its so worth it!
