Natrol Quick Balance Mints - Energy - 30ct

I bought the Natrol Energy and NatrolCalm mints due to inability to low absorption issues in my gut. I was so excited to have a product like these in sublingual, because very few companies or supplements come in liquid or sublingual form. I tried each one at different times as well as retried again multiple times to verify my palette wasn’t off the first few times. Each time both products were simple so intolerable and to be honest, absolutely horrible tasting that I couldn’t get past the first few seconds. I even forced myself to leave each one in until it dissolved to a little bit passed halfway hoping the taste would get better and that possibly the out layers were more intense than the inner ones. Nope, from initial taste until passed the halfway dissolved layer, each flavor is horrible and if anything it seems like it gets worse because I am trying to force something I dislike on my palette. It also tasted like it was overloaded in the artificial sweetener used and I like products with Stevia. In reviewing almost all of the reviews on this site, the majority of them are paid reviews. In addition, I also reviewed a most of the 5 star reviews and almost all of those reviews mentioned how they were not fans of the taste. I could not vouch as to whether each product does what it has put on the packaging due to my inability to complete taking the product as it is recommended. I wonder how many people were part of their test group in order to determine the taste as well as effectiveness of the product. It appears from how many reviews mentioned taste as an issue, they need to work on improving the taste as well as possibly changing the flavors to something that the majority of people would find appealing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started taking this product like 3 weeks ago and the improvement in my mood is significant. It has also helped a lot with anxiety physical symptoms. I plan on taking it for a while and to also combine it with meditation and physical exercises. I read it is recommended to be used for a year or so (no longer). I’m not sure why (if someone from Natrol can advice I’ll appreciate it) but that is why it might be good to combine it with other tools like yoga, mindfulness, workouts, etc.

Honestly, it's an acquired taste for sure, I was a bit thrown off on the taste but it's not extremely bad . I had to take them a whole week straight to get better results, I can't complain, they did boost my energy level up and kept me motivated throughout the day . I'd definitely buy more if they had different flavors to choose from

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I saw some reviews complain about the childproof case. It does have an interesting unlock mechanism. You just need to hold down the two buttons on the right with your thumb (both buttons at the same time) and then you can open the case (while maintaining the buttons pressed). Let's start with the taste. These are awful. I had high hopes but without a doubt it's just a terrible taste. They combined lemon green tea and mint. It has both a citrus and a sour taste. I like sour, and I like mints (to an extent), but the combination of these flavors is really bad. Worse, the sour flavor has a synthetic taste and so does the mint. These are also sugar-free (instead it uses stevia), so I think that's part of the synthetic taste I'm getting. Maybe the awful flavor is meant to jolt you awake? I tried these mints for my (long) commute home, and that flavor certainly packed a punch when I tried these mints. I didn't want to finish it (the tin claims you should wait until it dissolves in your mouth instead of chewing the mints). Did it work? Honestly, it didn't really do much for me and I am definitely in need of an energy boost by the time I'm driving home. Though I will admit that maybe it didn't give me an energy boost because I have a tolerance for caffeine. The main ingredients in these mints are caffeine and matcha. So if you're the type of person who needs lots of coffee/caffeine for an energy boost, then these probably aren't for you. The serving size of two mints carries 35mg of caffeine and 20mg of matcha, so if you need more than that, then I wouldn't expect this to do much for you either. I also wouldn't recommend this if you're already drinking lots of caffeine in a day anyway, since it's best to limit your caffeine intake. I think these would probably work best for non-coffee drinkers. I still gave it 3 starts since I'm likely not the target audience for these mints.

I’ve taken them twice while I’ve been out running around, and I can tell I have more of a desire to get stuff done, which is nice. But! The dreaded “but” Lol… the taste is rough for me to get thru. I would take them more frequently if this wasn’t an issue. The directions say “ take two tablets and dissolve in mouth before swallowing” First time I took two, they tasted fine and I’m waiting and waiting and they take a long time to dissolve and the longer they were in my mouth the harder it got and the taste became nauseating. Spit them out. Then the next time I took just one, and it was a little better. Definitely not as intense, but I still spit it out before it was done dissolving. So yea, i would say that the flavor would be fine, if they were faster dissolving.

These are very convenient to carry around in your purse thanks to the tin case. However, they are not the best tasting mints I ve ever had, it's tolerable. Gave me a awesome mid day boost, just what I needed to chase all my kids.
