Q: Hello for the NERF Nerf Rival Charger MXX -1200 Blaster, I recently bought one and put the batteries and it does not work I wanna know why.

submitted by Heleo - 5 years ago
  • A: With this blaster it's ALWAYS the Jam door. It takes an extra click.

submitted byCranktheradio - 5 years ago
  • A: I had the same problem to. I thought it was the gun or batteries but realized that it was that i didn't close the jam door all the way. If this is not the problem then make shore the batteries on the top are in the right position. Being the three batteries on the top all facing to the trigger and the ones on the bottom facing towards the back of the gun. I hope this helps you.

    submitted bycj23 - 5 years ago

Q: is it fully automatic or semi automatic?

submitted by unimpressed - 4 years ago
  • A: It's semi automatic. A trigger pull will fire one round, holding the trigger will not fire more.

Son was super happy with this as a Christmas gift. Typical Nerf product. Sturdy and reliable but very fun. Only down fall is the amount of C batteries it needs is costly.

    underpowered and expensive to run

The cost of batteries is more then the blaster. On top of that those batteries aren't strong enough to keep the velocity up for multiple trigger pulls. I plan on doing a 2s lipo conversion because my kids have more issues then fun with this.

These guns jam! We purchased 6 of this model. Every single one of them jam. And the batteries drain extremely quickly. Do NOT purchase these. We are just outside the return policy date and Target will not work with us. VERY disappointed in the customer service!!!!

If it does not work when you receive it make sure that the orange sliding door is shut until it clicks. This nerf rival blaster is fun for adults and kids. And also shoots nerf rival balls fast. This nerf rival gun is semi automatic and I rate it 10000/100 great nerf blaster

The NERF Rival Charger provides a fun experience and shoots way farther than any dart guns I own. I have been wanting to get into Rival for a long time and this and the Takedown XX-800 were great entry-level blasters. This blaster requires six C alkaline batteries and are installed in the back. Pros: - Cheapest Rival electronic blaster - No need for external magazines - Average Rival performance - No jams or malfunctions (when used as intended) - Comes with twice as much rounds as needed Cons: - Not compatible with Rival rechargeable packs. - Very back heavy - Very loud - Long fingers can reach the flywheels through the muzzle

Awesome blaster,I’m a expierenced foam flinger and own over 50 blasters, this is my favorite rival blaster,if you deal w replacing the C bats occasionally it’s a hard hitting, nice flywheeler, hits 98-100 FPS,you WILL outrange any elite blaster and most rival blasters currently on the market, can hold 14 rounds max, doesn’t jam, definitely my fav rival blaster and can’t wait to use it the coming summer, and only $28 that’s a great offering for a hard hitter,so 10/10 would recommend and can do some real spicy mods

Poor quality of Nerf motorized guns

    1 out of 5 stars
Adrian - 4 years ago, Verified purchaser
It's the fourth time we try to get this Nerf Rival gun, we probably replaced 8 over the past months, from the store or online. We spent more on batteries than on the toy itself. All suffer from the same problems: either not powering at all, internal components getting blocked permanently, battery drain in seconds, all seem related to the motorized part. I don't know if it is a defected lot or the model itself is bad, but we heard the same story from other people. Very disappointed of a toy that is fairly expensive and you would expect far better quality

I bought this gun hoping to compete in nerf battles but was extremely disappointed when I received the item in about 5 days. I put the batteries in and it didnt work at first I thought the batteries were faulty but when i got another brand new battery pack and it still didnt work. I was very excited for this gun but was an extreme disappointment and am very unhappy with the quality of this product.

Like other reviewers have said, you have to close the orange door with a click in order for the motor to work. 4 stars because this is not stated anywhere in the instructions. There should even be a label on the gun itself.

Gun didn't seem to work, we tried all different batteries. Then thanks to another reviewer who wrote in we made sure the orange door clicked shut on the gun and it worked great after that.
