However, it does not live up to its promise of controlling shine. After a few hours, the shine reappears, especially in the T-zone. It’s a good product to prep your skin before makeup, but don’t expect it to keep your skin matte all day.

This product outdid my $46 Clinique product they discontinued it so I figured I would try something new. My sister told me about this and it worked so good kept my super oily skin so it was not shiny all day and kept my make up in place my make up likes to separate because my face is so oily but kept it all day. To really add to it. It lasted through my workout.

I really liked this primer for my oily combination skin. It has a beautiful natural matte finish (matte, but not dry or flat). It also feels lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin, and provides a smooth base for makeup. My t-zone will still become a bit shiny after a full 12+ hour day of wearing this primer if I don’t touch up with powder—but this primer definitely reduces my oiliness and extends life if my makeup.

I love it! Wasn't expecting much, but...it was easy to use, dried instantly, felt smooth, and gave my face a glow! I'm 69 with dry, sensitive skin. (And wrinkled) Never cared for primers because they always felt thick, sticky, or cakey. I can wear this alone and look smooth and bright. Or wear foundation that goes on smoothly and stays that way!

I feel like this primer is really good and gives a great glow which it’s not supposed to do because it does claim that it’s supposed to be modifying. I do think that I could use this on days that I feel like I will sweat will become oily but it won’t do much to help me unfortunately.

I bought this to replace another brand’s mattifying primer that is somewhat hard to find, hoping the Neutrogena would be more accessible. I’ve only tried it twice, but so far it’s horrible at mattifying. I used it on my t-zone, and it just left my skin shiny and oily looking. No mattifying effect whatsoever, and actually it did just the opposite. So disappointed!

I really wish this worked, great concept - multi-use product, fragrance free, clean, but it's a fail for me. Unfortunately, this product made my skin way more oily than using nothing at all, which is saying something because my skin is pretty oily. I've tried it multiple ways, different cleansers, different makeup, applying to damp skin, applying to dry skin, during summer, during winter - all trying to make it work, but this product makes my skin feel like an oil slick after about 2 hours and then continues to produce oily the rest of the day no matter what tricks I try or how many times I blot or powder.
