This product works well and used to smell great and now it smells like I dipped my hair in some kind of mechanical fluid. It’s disgusting. I returned one bottle due to this scent thinking I got a bad one somehow and now I’m finding this gross scent again.. SUPER disappointed.

I've been using this product for years and I loved it because it held my hair perfectly with a softness and the smell was pleasant. This new bottle had me questioning what was being cooked or of I smelled bad, it is awful! The scent smells like it shouldn't be in my hair. So sad it changed.

I've used this hairspray for quite some time and have always loved it - soft hold that doesn't weigh your hair down. But this last bottle I just bought smells awful!!! And I've always loved the scent prior to this. It literally has a rotten smell so bad that I can't hardly stand to spray it on my head. Will not buy again, which is a shame because it's been my go-to.

Works but underlying rotten scent when spraying

I ignored the reviews about it smelling bad because I figured smell is objective, but there is actually a putrid sent when spraying (like undertones of rotten fish). But it didn’t stay in the air or on my hair (the main scent is just regular old hairspray). So if you can get past that, it does work well/ as advertised.

I have been using this hairspray for years, but the last bottle that I purchased smelled horrible (like fish). I had to return and purchased at a different retailer, same issue. I believe they changed the formula. Please bring the original scent back (rose and jasmine)!!!

It smells horrible and I don't have the best sense of smell either. For reference, I can't smell perfume on me after a few minutes. This horrible revolting scent I could smell it for hours on me. It just lingered and lingered and seemed to get worse. And it did not stand up to humidity very well, although that could just be my hairstyle, but I won't even consider it again because of how bad it smells

I would give this 5 stars if it smelled better. I like the amount of texture and hold it gives my hair. It’s not sticky and a little goes a long way. It just smells gross so I avoid using it unless necessary.

I use to LOVE this hairspray. It was amazing. Why do brands change good formulas? I cannot get over the smell. It’s so strong and leaves traces on anything my hair touches. This is was an absolutely amazing hairspray that has been turned into rubbish.

This is a very light spray with a light, inoffensive, barely there scent. It actually does sort of "remember" the original spray. It doesn't weigh down my fine, thin hair. It'd be perfect if it weren't an aerosol. Pumps sprays are generally too heavy and crunchy for my hair.
