Works fine. Doesn't lather or anything and is difficult to apply on my scalp but helps with itching. Extremely disappointed that it was less than half full. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the product its only filled up 1/4 of the way.
Dont bother

My boyfriend has locs down to his waist and his scalp was severely flaked, with a constant itching. It looked horrible. Usually products will redden his scalp but I used this first, rubbed it in and could tell it was working! I left it on for 15 and then rinsed it out. We followed up with the shampoo/ conditioner by the same brand/line and the liquid itch relief and his scalp looks so normal, flakeless and actually feels good.

Scary the amount of hair that fell out. The first time I followed the directions, and was alarmed but I decided maybe it was a fluke. 2 weeks later I tried again but decided to use it with water. I washed my hair with normal shampoo as a variable, had little fall out so felt good about using this product. Well I was wrong. My hair came out in hand fulls I had to finally just stop touching my hair and finish my shower.
Removed build-up well but at the cost of excessive hair loss.

I felt like it really did remove the build-up without leaving my roots dry, however, i experienced quite a bit of hair loss. It didn’t leave a bald spot or anything; luckily i have thick, curly hair. About a 3c. But as many people pointed out, it may not be best for people with longer hair. It doesn’t exactly specify how long you should keep it in, the instructions only say “a few minutes” so i left it in for about 20 minutes, so maybe try less than that.

i was excited to try this product, but became instantly disappointed as soon as i opened the cap. it seems as tho this product is only good for those who are bald or have a buzz cut. I would not recommend this product for anyone with a full head of hair

Not for people with a lot of hair. Probably works better for very short hair. For the price and amount I'd expect it to work for all hair types/lengths.
Too much effort for little payoff.

Not sure this did much if anything. Smells nice though. Scalp scrubs are hard to use and you often have to use a lot to feel like you did a thorough job. It doesn’t foam so it’s hard to move around. I often do my part and quit because it’s so much work.

Got the job done. Hadn’t washed my natural 3A curly medium density long BLACK hair in over a week after getting a blow out and using an ungodly amount of dry shampoo and product. Put it in the roots and let it soak for 10-15 mins. Washed it in the shower vigorously 2-3 times, styled it as usual. Left my scalp clean and flake/dry patch free!! Left the bottle on accident at the airbnb I was staying at and picked it up again once I got home. 100/10 especially if you use a lot hair product/ if you have product buildup.
Use it correctly and youll he amazed

I really loved how this product made my hair feel so light. I saw other reviews complaining about using it wrong. If you part your hair into sections and directly apply to your scalp you’ll get a really clean scalp. It is dry so it maybe a workout for your arms to massage it in. I left it in for 15 mins and then i rinsed it out. I followed up with my regular shampoo and i could instantly feel the difference. My hair was much easier to move around. Once i dried and styled my hair it felt so clean. I could feel the breeze touching my hair.

I figured I would try this in tandem with the shampoo. The bottle felt really light, so I was initially skeptical. It essentially looks and feels like a St. Ives exfoliating scrub for your scalp, but with a higher markup. It may be useful for those with shorter hair, but I had a lot of difficulty getting it in contact with my scalp instead of my hair since it goes on dry. The scent was nice though and I think it could be beneficial if you can get good contact with the skin. Going to return this product unfortunately :/

Not only does removes scalp build up, it acts as a clarifying agent leaving your hair feeling clean from all the hair products that leave a residue. Very please with how my hair and scalp feels. I use it along with Nizoral shampoo as needed.
White flakes after drying

Leen - 2 years ago
Like other reviews have stated this item left my hair a bit oily and with white residue from the exfoliating on my scalp so when I dried my hair after shampooing 3 times I hate white flakes coming out of my hair from this product. If you have thinner hair and less coils this product may work better for you but on lightly permed 4c hair this was not it. And I'm slightly sad about it
