Q: If I install the shelf in the reverse, I'm assuming you install the strip upside down. Is this correct? How do you measure so you can precisely determine what the height of the shelf will be?

A: Hi Mark, the mounting bracket will go on the same way no matter what. The back of the shelf has extrusions on both the top and bottom , so no matter which way you want the shelf to face, the extrusion will slide onto the mounting bracket on the wall. As far as measuring, if the shelf is mounted so that it is a seamless surface, you would simply account for the height of the shelf, which is 2.5 inches. Basically, with respect to the bracket, the shelf will drop down about 2.5 inches when it is mounted "upright" with the safety lip (you will need to take not of exactly how and where it engages with the bracket), and be close to flush with the top of the bracket when mounted for the seamless look. A: No question is dumb! But it is aluminum. It will not be magnetic.

Q: Can these shelves be cut?

A: They are solid aluminum so you would need a saw to cut aluminum. The problem would be that the edges will be raw. Current edges are powder coated.

Easy to attach the bracket to the wall - love the tiny level it came with. But, the shelf will not stay on the bracket - I’ve hung drywall, I’ve tiled, I’ve done all sorts of projects and I CANNOT get this thing to work. So now I have 26 small nail holes in my wall and a shelf that I can’t seem to get to stay put. Super disappointing for the price.
