Since quinoa is pretty expensive anywhere you go, I found that this site offers one of the best deals around. Good quality product, as expected.

Very good Quinoa. NOW Foods puts out good products. However, my critique would be for them to put directions and serving suggestions on their package. I know how to make Quinoa, and I enjoy it often, but it is a new culinary experience for a lot of people, so directions and serving suggestions would prove to be helpful for many. Basically, as nourishing and healthful as Quinoa is - - - high in complete protein, gluten free, actually a seed and not a grain - - - it is bland. This is both the bad news and the good news. Bad news, because if one doesn't jazz up the preparation, it is, well. . . . bland. Good news, because if one is creative in the kitchen, Quinoa's straight forward, plain / bland taste lends itself to being jazzed up very nicely. I like how Quinoa cooks quickly, in just 12 to 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient. I use at least 2 cups of water, or a little more, to prepare 1 cup of dry Quinoa. This is roughly double the water specified in the normal directions. However, I dice up some red onion, a Jallapeno or other pepper, 4 or 5 baby carrots, a few garlic cloves (or I toss in a Tblsp of minced fresh Garlic), --- I add 2 oz. of Apple Cider Vinegar, season with lots of Sea Salt, Fresh Coarse-Ground Black Pepper, Oregano, Celery Seed, Thyme, plus perhaps a dash of Cumin, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for around 15 minutes. I might also add a cup or so of frozen organic corn, and/or peas, and/or some beans (generally black or garbanzo), and of course dried Basil, Fennel Seeds, and/or Coriander add their own personalities. Add whatever you like. Be creative. Have fun with it. For example, dried red pepper flakes add zip, and currants or dried cranberries can be interesting, too. There are really no limitations to Quinoa. Works for me.

I like to make this in bulk then nosh all week as breakfast (warmed up); on a salad, in soup, or where I would normally use white rice. What I like is that this is nutritionally dense especially with protein. I do end up soaking and rinsing this item when I have time, otherwise, I'm boiling and draining and boiling and draining the bitterness out (the coating). Great product and I'll keep this on automatic shipments.

I was pleased with the high quality and freshness of this quinoa. I added it to a frittata, which made a filling, flavorful meal. The quinoa was also wonderful as the main ingredient in a salad. The order arrived quickly and in good order.

Love quinoa. We usually make it in chicken broth and then add some healthy fish or chicken on top along with a nice helping of veggies. Quinoa is extremely versatile and healthy as it is gluten free and provides plenty of protein, fiber and omega 3's. I'll even grind it up and use the flour for my protein waffles. The only pain is having to rinse it off before cooking it, but otherwise it is a great addition to any meal.

when I first tried quinoa (tears ago) as a side dish I thought it was awful!!! however, it was rather expensive and I didn't want to just throw the money down the drain, so i got creative and added it to soups and stews to get it used up - however the resuts were so good that now I buy it specifically to add to such meals!!!

I use Quinoa instead of oatmeal for a hot cereal. I put spray butter and Splenda on it and it keeps me regular and gives me a complete protein. It's an excellent food source and easy to make.

I love quinoa. It's a fantastic alternative to rice - which I've been trying to avoid lately. Quinoa's really bland if you don't do anything to it, but a little garlic and red pepper flakes sauteed and mixed with the quinoa prior to cooking makes a huge difference. Delicious and healthy. This is the cheapest organic quinoa I've seen per unit price. Swanson does it again. Love this stuff - give it a try.
