Old El Paso Low Net Carb Taco Shells Gluten Free - 10ct / 4.6oz

As someone who follows a low-carb lifestyle, I thought these were great! Very nice to have the option for a crispy taco when I have only had low-carb tortillas for the last several years on our regular family taco nights. I actually don’t understand the negative reviews. Give them a try for yourself.

Bought these a couple of months ago because they were on sale and I had a coupon. They were still pretty pricey. Used them last night and my husband and I were very pleased with the taste, crunch, and the fact that they did not break apart as we ate them. I heated the shells in a 250 degree oven. The only reason I am giving them four starts is that they were wide enough to get much filling in. We are used to the Old El Paso Stand and Stuff shells which we prefer for ease of making.

Folks, this is honestly THE worst "taco shell" I've ever eaten. Not only do the shells have "air-holes" put into the shell like Matzo crackers, they actually TASTE like Matzo crackers. The shells don't even have a corn flavor. You will most likely be seriously disappointed with this item. You have been warned....

We didn’t like them. They taste like they’re made from almond flour, which I’m not against but these were not as good sub for a taco shell

These are absolutely disgusting.. doesn’t taste anything like a taco shell! I was so excited! Only to be let down so bad! Never again

I would recommend to anyone how needs a low carb diet or just looking for healthier options. Great packaging, and easy to use directions. Quick and healthy dinner options.

They taste diet. Weird taste. Actually they don't taste like nothing like your eating air. But what do I expect with low carb?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a package of Old El Paso Carb Advantage Taco Shells 10ct free from Old El Paso and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I’m not on a strict low carb diet but like to include some low carb items into my meals from time to time. I was excited to try the Carb Advantage taco shells during one of our taco nights. Out of the box, the low carb shells were a tad chewier and thicker than regular taco shells. Briefly warming them helped make them crispier. Although a different consistency than regular taco shells, I found that the extra thickness was an extra bonus because the low carb shells didn’t get soggy and fall apart as quickly as regular shells when the meat and toppings were added. According, to the box each low carb shell has 6g net carbs = 17g total carbs - 11g fiber - 0g sugar alcohol. Overall, the low carb taco shells tasted decent. They aren’t as tasty as regular taco shells but for being low carb they are a great alternative for those who are on a low carb diet.

I am on the low carb diet and was excited when I saw these. I gave it a try but unfortunately these are not good. They are nasty! I would not purchase them again.

They are a different texture and consistency but for the macros I can make sacrifices. They are more of a cracker than a taco shell but considering the macros it is worth the adjustment.

I will say they are thinner, more cracker/wafer like in consistency and less flavorful than traditional taco shells. They don't taste bad but they don't really have flavor to me, which is fine if the filling has plenty of flavor.

The only issue we encountered is making sure that the tacos were not chewy and we crispy. We found only putting a few at a time in the microwave to work better than all at once.
