How I can connect if in the app soesnt appear the model number?

I purchased this unit in Dec. 2022 - less than one year ago - and it has stopped working. I called the 1-800# to ask about the warranty. I was told to remove batteries, clean out compartment, replace the batteries - still did not turn on. My option was to pay to ship the unit back to the manufacturer and IF they determined it was defective then they would replace the unit. I asked if I would be reimbursed for the cost of shipping...."NO". So it'll cost me additional money to return a clearly defective unit to receive a replacement where the cost of returning the unit is nearly 20% of the cost of the unit. That's just bad business. I would not recommend this unit or this manufacturer!

I gave it three stars but I was being generous. I tried four ways from Sunday to connect it to my smartphone with no success exasperating.

I bought the BCM-500 about a month ago. I am an older adult who is quite active. I have become enamored of tracking my statistics. I got a smartwatch. I was surprised to see my fat gain and loss and muscle gain and loss swing wildly day to day with the body composition tool on the watch. I felt I needed a second opinion on what was going on. The Omron displays a narrower range day to day, which leads me to think it is more accurate than the watch. And considering the different formats, or platforms, (pun intended), I have to believe the scale is likely to be closer to the truth. The benefit, for fat loss purposes, is that the Omron says I am fatter than does the Samsung, by 5 percent. It's discouraging, but I trust the Omron scale, and use it to guide my plan. On the downside, it hardly ever successfully transfers the reading to the app on my Android phone on the first touch. It takes some button-pushing, and some retries, but it always works eventually. I love this thing! It's really cool. I study all the figures it provides. It is a vital tool for me.

Can't download app from omron for the scale worthless without the app looks like a good product and works fine but need to use the Bluetooth to download to phone with no luck

Just got and have spent over an hour trying to figure out how to synch with OMRON app. My blood pressure monitor synchs automatically. The scale I have to setup Bluetooth each time I want to synch. I’m hopeful I’m doing something wrong but can’t find anything online to troubleshoot and fix.

Nice reporting of BMI, weight, body fat and visceral fat. App works great with scsle and Omron BP monitors. Easy set up. Howevwr, I have questions about overall quality and longevity.

I bought this before I had my first child and it's been helped me track my pregnancy weight gain and get me back into my pre-baby shape. Syncing in a breeze and I love that its compatible with apple health. Would love to see Omron come out with more bluetooth products like a thermometer.

I have been using this product for about a month in order to compliment blood pressure/pulse measurements for health improvement and monitoring. I bought this product and its sister because they both allow me to sync new readings with my smartphone to be produced at later dates. No more writing it down and leaving it behind when you need it!

IPHONE SHOWS CONNECTED YET THE BCM500 DOES NOT ACTUALLY CONNECT TO MY IPHONE.

Waste of money, couldn't pair via bluetooth BCM-500 and iPhone 6s Plus

I bought it to link with other health readings I have in my Omron app. The bluetooth is very unreliable and the scale constantly gives an error message when trying to take my readings. This is one purchase I deeply regret making!

This is the worst scale I have ever owned. Any scale should do this basic operation: step on the scale, get a weight. Not this one. If you are lucky you might see the fleeting weight and then it descends into a series of meaningless displays and error messages, but won't show you your weight. The instructions refer to an app that doesn't exist, and when you download the app that does exist, it never connects to the scale with Bluetooth after the initial setup. Pretty much nothing about this scale is good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had another brand's scale for over three years. It seemed strange that every time I went up or down in weight, everything else changed. I would look back a year ago and see the same weight, same percentage body fat, etc. I figured this other scale wasn't measuring, just using an algorithm based on weight. Getting this Omron scale confirmed all my suspisions. I'm so glad to final have a scale that works.

I liked a lot of the features of hers, but couldn’t fit that one in my budget at the time. I then saw an ad for this one and decided to try it. I love the features and Bluetooth to my phone and app!!

It is an excellent product when you are doing diet or workout, because it tells you your BMI and percentages of muscles. I think it is a very useful scale, and very fashionable.

if you need to just measure your weight just stay away from this product. All I needed was to gauge my weight and pass it to the app to track it. I have to do the measurement without my socks on otherwise, I am getting Err1 all the time. Alternatively, you can choose profile 0 in order to measure just weight but this is just ridiculous and time-wasting to interact with such a poor UI on a hardware level rather than software.
