I bought an Omron 5 series as recommended by my MD, and I am so sorry I did. It has been giving systolic measurements that range 20-24 higher compared to those on my old one, anywhere from 10-20 higher on diastolic. Plus it's been inflating up to around 220 at the beginning of the measurement, which is pretty painful. My old one correlates well with the professional models in my MD's office, but has gotten old and I often have to do a remeasure, which is why I wanted to replace it.

I purchased this product from a reputable pharmacy a couple of months ago because my cardiologists told me my old Omron meter was reading quite high. I took it in to my first visit with him after I got it and to my surprise it also was reading about 20 points high on the SYS. I initially thought that it could be calibrated by a simple software update being an old software tech. However I soon found that that the calibration process consisted of throwing it in the trash and buying another one. Needless to say I won't be buying Omron as a replacement.

Readings for seniors on the Omron Blood Pressure Monitor are not up-to-date and accurate. The American Heart Association states that "normal" blood pressure for anyone 65 years and older is 130/80. Readings on the monitor that are over 120/80 comes up as "elevated." This is not true for seniors. The readings should be reflected by age group so that senior readings do not say "elevated" when they are above 120. Omron's monitors should be updated to give readings by age group in order to be accurate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 10 year old OMRON unit. I prefer the manually applied cuff - the auto cuff is quite uncomfortable. The Bluetooth combo to the phone app works better than the previous unit. HOWEVER, the app has not communicated with the iPhone iOS 17 operating system. My experience is OMRON is slow to update as iOS changes, then is buggy after an attempted update. It will not load data to the Apple Health app. Apple’s data graphing is superior to OMRON. You need to invest in software.

This is my second monitor same model number. Every few readings I have to change my batteries or it won't work. I test the batteries and they are all good. I took one back and ordered another one. Both did the same thing. So disappointed with Omron. Always used their monitors. Now I have to find a different company. So sad...

It is good quality but the cuff is wrong size for a large upper arm and gave me false high readings 140/98 130/98 When I use on forearm it is 118/78 108/80 I checked on husbands normal arm and upper and lower were same make sure forearm will give accurate readings. Maybe offer optional cuff sizes.

Now I can also monitor my own blood pressure independently. This monitor also shows my irregular heart beats that I can see it on the screen during the measurement. measurement.

I bought my BP7250 almost 3 years ago. I finally took it to my cardiologist to have the readings compared to what their blood pressure monitor reads, and it is anywher from 15 to 20 points difference in the upper number. All this time I thought my blood pressure medication was not helping but it turns out my BP machine is inaccurate and therefore a waste of time to take any further readings. I realize it is out of warranty, but this must have been inaccurate from the first day I bought it. I will have to absorb the cost of this and purchase another brand that is more accurate. A shame because this is the brand my cardiologist recommended I purchase.
