I bought this selection because of the seed varieties, which are usuable & basic herbs. No packets of unwanted herb seeds. I haven't sown these yet because I didn't want to open the seed packs until I was ready. Each herb is in a well-sealed, small, clear, & clearly labeled, plastic resealble bag & the peat pellets are about 1-1/8" across. All the seeds are visible, healthy looking, & not a "shriveled up" seed in sight. Great Herb Growing Guide BOOKLET, not a strip of flimsy paper. if you are a beginner & just venturing out to grow own herbs this is a great start. If you are like me, limited indoor growing space but a 55+ years gardener, you'll appreciate this purchase. I'll start the pellets on an indoor glass shelf in front of my kitchen window & then transfer them to my outdoor raised garden. Looking forward to "greening" my window view here in Central FL :-)
