A: Our CrossAction X Filament brush heads offer the same features as our Regular CrossAction brush heads, however, the X shaped bristles offered in our X Filament help lift, trap, and remove plaque for a better cleaning experience.

Q: What is the difference between the Pro Gum Care and the Cross Action brush head? My primary goal at this time is to assist in removing plaque from lower molars.

A: The CrossAction Replacement Brush Heads have soft bristles and feature precisely angled 16 degree bristles to perfectly adapt to each tooth and clean deep in between. The Pro Gum Care Replacement Brush Heads have extra soft bristles which sweep away plaque build-up and reduce gum inflammation. The Gum Care Replacement Brush Heads are our first brush heads with ultra thin bristles (the blue bristles around the outside). These tapered filaments gently flex to clean around gums. I had ordered a 4 pack of Oral B cross action replacement heads for my electric Oral B toothbrush from Amazon and later got notified by Amazon Customer Service that they were counterfeit. I immediately placed an order with Target and tossed the ones from Amazon. They cost a bit more from Target but I feel secure that they’re legitimate. Thank you, Target!

I can feel the difference from when I use a normal brush to using one of these. Everything feels much cleaner. The only thing that I can say is that the water infiltrates the brush head and there is eventually some gunk stuck in there. Just have to change them more often.

Dentists recommend replacing toothbrush head every 3 months, as the bristles become frayed and worn with use which reduces the cleaning effectiveness of the toothbrush. Increased wear could be caused by brushing too hard -- too much pressure makes the bristles wear faster. Also rinsing a toothbrush under hot water, or soaking it in a solution, will soften the bristles and cause them to wear out more quickly. These electric toothbrush replacement brush heads are designed extremely well for the best clean you can possibly get. The slanted bristles clean better then other brush heads I've used and give you a much better clean. Highly recommend.
