A: While the main charging cord does contain PVC as insulation, the brush handle and brush heads themselves do not contain BPA, or PVC.

The toothbrush is super cute and my kid loved it, until we discovered mold where the head of the toothbrush connects to the body and inside every whole in the head of the toothbrush. Just to think I put this in my daughters mouth makes me sick. I’ve had an adult oral-b brush for years and never had a mold problem. I’m not sure if the kids brushed are made differently or why it grew mold. If it wasn’t for the mold, I would have given 5 stars, but the mold is a major health concern.

We can certainly understand your surprise upon finding mold on your daughter's toothbrush, and would like to help. While very rare, this can occur if the brush is stored in a location that is exposed to mold and bacteria, and the plastic comes into contact with ingredients of a corrosive nature (e.g. cleaning agents, sprays, cosmetics, soaps, etc.). Certain ingredients used in those types of products can make the plastic porous, allowing dirt and moisture to find places to settle. To keep your toothbrush and toothbrush head clean, it can be helpful to rinse the brush while turned on, turn it off, then remove the brush head and rinse the inside, then turn the brush back on and rinse the shaft without the brush head, and allow both pieces to air dry separately. Be careful using this type of toothbrush. It holds mold like no other in tiny little crevices. Hard to disinfect too. I just threw out my daughters and will replace with the battery operated ones that don’t have a detachable head. So disgusted

I love that the head brush is small enough for my 4 yr old and she’s able to brush well. However, the material of the electrical stand smells, not sure why if it should be meant to get wet.

It’s small enough to reach the back teeth without any problems. The color changing bristles isn’t necessary but are helpful for a child to know when to change toothbrushes. Overall the set is good for a small child.

The color changing effect is also really nice to know when to replace them. They are soft and long lasting. Great child toothbrush!

Would not recommend this toothbrush for children. The movement is too aggressive and fast for small children (and adults). It has two settings. The second setting was more powerful than the first one. It made my child's gums bleed. When you turn on the toothbrush outside of ones mouth the motion is so fast the toothpaste flies off the brush. Expected the children's toothbrush to offer a gentle setting like the adult toothbrushes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Oral-B Kids Manual Toothbrushes are average. The quality isn't the best. Some picture are included to show the toothbrushes before opening. The bristles weren't even, so we questiong the quality from the beginning. For a kids toothbrush, the tongue or rubber bumps/grooves are a nice feature. My daughter enjoyed using the toothbrush for that. However, the grooved bristles make it harder for her to clean her teeth evenly. The neutral colors and character/animal make it easy for my daughter to use. She doesn’t like pink, so this was appealing for her to try. We wouldn't buy or gift these toothbrushes. We received these complimentary Oral-B Kids toothbrushes in exchange for our honest review. See my daughter's video for her review.
