Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 kills common household bugs such as ants, bees, beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, crickets, fleas, flies, millipedes, mosquitoes, moths, spiders, stink bugs, ticks, termites, periodical cicadas, and more (as listed). This insect killer creates a bug barrier of up to 12 months protection (against ants, roaches and spiders indoors on non-porous surfaces) to provide long-lasting results. In addition, the Invisi-Shield Technology formula gives off no fumes, dries clear, and dries fast. Use Ortho® Home Defense® Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter2 anytime as a preventative treatment or after you see evidence of insect activity for long lasting-control. Apply with confidence indoors (kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows) and outdoors (perimeter of foundations, patios and decks, garages) wherever insects are a recurring problem. For indoor surfaces, hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 4 inch wide band along the interior of the home in areas where insects are a recurring problem. Area should be sprayed until slightly wet without soaking. For perimeter treatment, also hold sprayer 12 inches from surface being sprayed and apply a 12 inch wide band along the exterior of the home.

A: Using a screwdriver remove the 2 small screws at bottom of the wand to open battery compartment for Ortho Home Defense Max Indoor Insect Barrier. Remove used batteries and replace with new AA batteries in correct position as marked per diagram inside battery compartment. Hold sprayer so hose and spring are at the top. Battery on left will have "+" up, other 2 batteries will have "-" up. Securely close battery compartment door and replace the 2 screws.

A: Hello Tali, Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer For Indoor & Perimeter2 can be used around plants but for spot treatment only. The product should not contact the plant. Can be sprayed on the pot of the soil around the plant in the containers and planters. Treatment should be localized to the infested area.

A: Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer For Indoor & Perimeter does control ants and can be used This product can be used on all floor types. This product can be used on base boards, in cabinets, drawers and pantries. Remove dishes, food, and any other items, then spray and allow to dry. Drying time will vary depending on how much was sprayed, temperatures, humidity, etc. If unsure when spray has dried then recommend they wait 24 hours. Once spray has dried put in new paper liners, then restock with dishes and food items.

A: Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer for Indoor & Perimeter will control roaches. Cockroaches will die in 4-6 days. Pets (cats, dogs, birds, fish tanks, etc) should be removed from application area/room prior to application. Large aquariums can be covered to protect from any product accidentally getting into water during application. Once the product has dried after application people and pets may reenter the area.

A: People and pets such as cats and dogs may safely reenter the treated area once the Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer For Indoor & Perimeter2 has thoroughly dried. If unsure how long it takes for the product to dry, wait 24 hours. If the treated area becomes wet again (by rain, dew, or watering) after it has dried initially, the product won't become reactivated.

ive in an apartment that never previously had roach issues. I suspect a new neighbor brought them (or attracted) them through the walls. I bought the spectracide mistakenly and the roach I went on show down with just laughed at me while I sprayed it. Returned it and bought the ortho brand… 10/10! I went full Dexter watching it immediately kilt over. Probably not long term but it’ll do while I get maintenance to handle the vermin.

We had a spider issue becaude we have an old farmhouse. Since we started adding this to our spring time chores it has majorly decreased the number of critters.

Have purchases 2 of these with comfort wands and they simply don’t work after a couple of months. Instead of a consistent spray it just spurts out drops of liquid. Today I purchased another with the trigger spray to see if that is better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for as long as I’ve been a homeowner (going on 15 years now!) because this stuff WORKS against any creepy crawly home pests. It’s my tried and true for spiders which are my ultimate nemesis, so I am so thankful for this Ortho product for keeping the inside of my home bug free. It says this lasts up to 12 months, but I generally spray my home every 3 months as a preventative measure. I have kids and dogs in my home, and I feel confident that this product is safe to use around my babies and fur babies alike. I do try to keep them away from the areas I am treating, and after till the product dries down, but that takes no time at all! There is no strong scent, and no lingering fumes, which makes this easy to use even in the cold Winter months. The sprayer on this delivers the most perfectly thorough and even spray, so on point! We get a lot of invasive Asian beetles and stink bugs, and while it’s impossible to truly eradicate those pests, using Ortho definitely helps deter them from entering your home. Thanks to Influenster for stocking me up with one of my favorite home products in exchange for my honest review!

One use and it stopped spraying, when I pulled the cap off it was cracked, and from what I see online this is common, never had this kind of problem with the old style caps. waiting to hear from Ortho on if there is a replacement part available.

The wand provides a nice consistent spray. It seems to have killed/kept out the beetles we always seem to get in the fall when the temperatures are fluctuating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is fantastic bug spray for indoor/outdoor use. The sprayer that comes with it is automatic so it makes sprayer larger areas easy. The main thing about this is it actually works. There is a slight odor but not bad compared to others I tried. It’s a large container so I feel the value is top notch h for what you get. Definitely will keep this on the hand for future insect killer needs.
