OtterBox Apple iPhone 16 Pro Defender Series Pro XT Clear Case - Dark Side

There is a huge gap over the camera control button where the screen is completely exposed with NO protection. Within, two weeks, my daughter’s phone had a huge chip in the screen protector in this area. Hoped the phone screen isn’t actually damaged. This design is horrible, and I have been an Otterbox only phone case purchased for over 20 years.

This case keeps the phone from getting broken and scratched. It fits the holster on my belt to keep it safe.

I was sitting on a park bench, went to put my phone in my back pocket and it slipped out of my hand. To my surprise, one of the three camera lenses cracked! It was such a small fall and I did not expect this to happen with an otter box case. I thought the ridges around the camera would protect it but, nope! I’ve had my phone for only two weeks and now the camera is broken. Don’t buy this case, truly. Not sure how this is an Otterbox nor how this model passed quality assurance.

I have had the phone 2 months and the back has cracked. I have 3 kiddos 9 and under so I went with the defender for safety. I have always used life proof/otter box and never broken a phone before.

case is great with one small flaw. They have now added a tether point which is awesome but it's square which means it's hard to thread your tether through the hole. (hard to attach a wrist strap) however overall better case without this one small exception ~signed someone who drops stuff

Summary: overall, happy with the purchase but the ultimate test will be when the phone is dropped. Fingers are crossed. Build - looks well constructed, but time will tell how it holds up after extended use. Ergonomics - on the larger side, but slowly getting used to it but overall the feel is good though. Style - Otterbox has never been known for it's style but the cases could use some additional color choices, i.e., ones that compliment the colors of the iPhone. Functionality - mixed on the functional design, i.e., some are nice such as the flip cover for the e.g., the USB-C port which protects the port from lint / dust etc., where as the case has openings which do not protect the phone which could potentially be a vulnerability point. Price - on the high end.

Quality product. Everything as expected from Otterbox.

Amazing case. I’ve used Otterbox Defenders on my last 3 iPhones, & let me tell ya, they have taken a beating.

I'm really pleased with this case! The fit is excellent and it seems very sturdy. I'm left-handed and find the camera slot annoying but that's not OtterBox's fault; it just is what it is because of the iPhone's camera button. The product itself is excellent.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro and was excited to use this case , it protects the phone very well it’s easy put on I love the clear and the black around the edges & mag safe works perfectly! I’ve used otterbox cases since my first iPhone and never have I broke an iPhone they are my go to when it comes to phone cases I love the sleek design also protects the lens.

Not keen on the jagged cutout for the camera button and was disappointed by the selection of colours and designs. Despite these downfalls, I still wanted the drop protection the defender series provides. It kept my previous phone in perfect condition after many drops.

There is no protection around the camera button located lower right side,a critical flaw that didn't have to happen.
