We bought this for peace of mind and it does the opposite. False alerts, or lost connection alerts several times a night. It’s loud and wakes the whole house up - including our newborn. The app lags horribly and it makes it nearly impossible to know if it’s a current reading or old one. It is nice to be able to see the average O2 and heart rate but I would not purchase again.

this device is the only reason i’m able to sleep soundly at night with a newborn! we practice safe sleep, but SIDS is a huge concern. This device gives me a peace of mind, with the tracking of her heart rate and oxygen level. i would highly recommend this to any parent!

My daughter is 2weeks old and was diagnosed with WPW syndrome after looking at reviews of other monitors this one has been the best so far after one day we love it . We used to have the owlet before with our first born but sold it after he grew out of it as we didn't think we'd have another baby so soon. This one was also recommended by her cardiologist and we are glad we didn't go with another brand

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night without my Owlet. With the hurricane that comes alongside a new baby, this thing is a life saver. Love it!
Good if you can get it to work.

Not compatible with newer wifi. Would not work with my wifi router even when the 5GHz band is disabled. I'm not sure if it just doesn't work with Wireles isolation or if it is incompatable with WPA 3. Either way, I'm not willing to compromise the security of my network. For the price of the dream sock, I expect it to work with wifi 6 and 802.11ax wifi networks.

I loveee this product! A newborn must have for sure. I’m a first time mom who has been able to sleep very soundly knowing I don’t need to jump up at every little noise he makes in the night. If I could give 6 stars, I would!!

Battery died weeks after warranty ended. Seems to be a common issue online. Customer service will tell you to buy a new one. It kind of works while the battery does work but being borken after 1 year earns 1 star.

I went back and forth on the Owlet for months during my pregnancy (first time), eventually settling on not needing one. I received one as a gift when my baby was just over 5 months old, and I thought it was incredible timing because we are still dealing with the 4-month sleep regression and the Owlet was marketed as a sleep tracker and coaching tool to help us all get more sleep. But guess what -- guess what!!! After a few days of gathering data and waiting for any helpful information to show up, the app changed and an "Insights" tab appeared, where it tells you to buy a subscription! My activity watch tracks my sleep and provides me historical trends and most importantly DAILY TOTALS of light/deep/REM sleep, it cost a fraction of the price up front, and it has no subscription fee. It's just ridiculous that this device costs $300, does not provide totals for the day or even for each session, and they have the nerve to charge for a subscription if you want any more information. Don't waste your money on this, even (or especially??) if you have some genuine reason to be insecure about your baby's health - if that's the case then maybe you should have an actual medical monitor instead of a grossly overpriced pulse oximeter with a useless app.
The outlet experience is so disappointing now… Save your money or buy an alternative

We purchased the Owlet sock three years ago for our first child, and it was absolutely brilliant. Not only did it provide us peace of mind, but it also helped us identify an underlying issue we might have otherwise missed. We had noticed a consistently high resting heart rate in our baby, so we mentioned it to the pediatrician. Thanks to the data from the Owlet sock, the pediatrician ordered a blood test, which revealed that our child was anemic. After starting iron supplements, the issue was resolved. We are incredibly grateful that the Owlet helped us catch this early and take action. Fast forward to today, and we now have a second child. We were forced to convert our Owlet Sock 3 to the new Owlet Dream Sock, as it seemed that the older model was being phased out. However, since making the switch, we've encountered nothing but problems. The Dream Sock fails to provide historical data, and live readings are often inaccurate. The sock frequently un-pairs from our child’s profile, and the battery life has dropped significantly—from lasting 12 hours to barely 8. All of these issues began immediately after the conversion to the Dream Sock. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially since I used to recommend Owlet to every new parent I knew. I always touted it as an essential tool for newborns and infants. While customer service has been responsive, their tech support hasn’t been able to resolve the issues, and we now find ourselves with a $300 sock that is nearly useless. At this point, we’re left feeling frustrated and let down by what was once a trusted product. I sincerely hope Owlet can address these issues and restore the quality and reliability they once had.

I have used the Owlet infant sock for two of my babies, but have been using a toddler sock for my youngest child now that he's 4. After he was diagnosed with epilepsy, my husband and I would lose sleep, worrying if he'd have a seizure in his sleep. With the Owlet, we are able to get rest knowing that his breathing and heart rate are being monitored. While this is not a medical device, it surely adds peace of mind for any parent.
I really wanted to like it. But it just isnt there yet.

I really want to like this thing. But it has so many issues. The Bluetooth is so poor that it looses connection just being in the next room. Which makes it pretty impractical to monitor your baby in their room if you don't sleep in the same room as them. The monitoring and sleep windows are nice, when it works. But the sock design sometimes digs into my baby's foot and leaves red marks. Overall, it's not worth the price and is unreliable.

The extra features like the predicted sleep are awesome, but for how expensive it is, the app kind of sucks. It will not connect/load, you have to close and open it numerous times to get a correct reading, and it will close in its own sometimes.

Seriously the single best purchase we could have made as new and nervous parents. It is so nice to know our girl is BREATHING and safe at night. Especially when she is with a sitter and we can check in on the app. In 6 months we have only had a handful of “false alarms” due to user error and it only made me more confident that the device was working as it should.
Range is very poor

This is nice for peace of mind especially if you are a parent with a baby fresh out of nicu. However I find it annoying to actually use. The range of the sock from the base station is poor and basically confined to only one room. So real world example, you have baby on bassinet in your room. Get up to feed baby and carry baby into the kitchen to make a bottle, the base station will start alarming that sock is disconnected and wake up spouse that’s still in bed. So this may work for you if you never plan to leave the room the base station is located in while baby has sock on.
